Considering this for our (next) trip 9/19. Anyone know anything about this party? Special area to view "Boo to You" parade? (one of the best WDW parades IMO) TIA

Unless it's markedly different from other dessert parties, or in a different location the bonus is being able to see the fireworks. Typically there's no viewing area within sight of the parade route.

Personally, I wouldn't waste valuable party time at a dessert party. There are a lot of places you can get a good view of the parade, and we stood right in the hub for the fireworks no problem.

We did the dessert party last year and it came with parade viewing but that was a fluke on Disney’s part. If it doesn’t come with parade viewing I wouldn’t book it. That was the only thing we really like about the dessert party. Our view for fireworks wasn’t even that great because part of the roof was covering our view

does the halloween dessert party have the same options as the normal fireworks dessert party - in that there are two viewing locations? We don't like the terrace view, we prefer the garden view.
I'd consider booking this as we have two very small children so not having to wait is a bonus when they are so small.
I've been to the halloween parties before and we've had to wait a good amount of time to get a parade spot and even then my DD couldn't see very well, so If it came with parade viewing I'd be paying the $ for sure.

Yes they have one for the garden and terrace.

I highly doubt they will include parade viewing this year. Last year was a fluke because someone at Disney forgot to take it out of the description so whoever booked it before they changed it got the parade viewing since it was advertised like that. Disney didn’t mean to offer parade viewing last year though

are the dessert parties available for booking yet? (for the party nights)

Like Haley R, we also were able to do the MNSSHP terrace party with parade viewing due to the fluke in the event description. WITH the parade viewing, the event was spectacular and well worth the cost. The only thing I did not like was the fact that we had to line up almost an hour prior to the party starting to secure a good table to see the fireworks - sort of defeated the purpose of booking the event. However, as I said, the parade viewing was amazing. I highly doubt it will be included again, however, as it was a mistake last year and they also introduced a separate, parade viewing party at Tony's for MVMCP last year. If that was successful, I wouldn't be surprised if they offered that again, thereby completely separating special fireworks and special parade viewing into two separate, expensive parties. Quite honestly, we've done the fireworks without the party and finding a spot was pretty easy. It is the parade that's a little trickier, but if you find a spot in the Frontierland/Liberty Square area, it's a little easier.

I think if they do two separate ones I'd do the parade view. As you said the parade is harder to get a good spot, I'm ok to see the fireworks just about anywhere for the Halloween party.

If they had two separate ones I would also pick the parade viewing

Agreed! Trying to find a parade spot makes me nervous! I've never had an issue finding a good fireworks spot for MNSSHP and MVMCP.

I haven't booked an ADR during a special event before. My 180day is in under 2 weeks. Am I correct in assuming that if I booked the Fireworks dessert party on the party night that is the right one? If so that is all they seem to be offering right now. When I put in a dummy date that is an August party date for MNSSHP all that shows is the normal fireworks dessert parties - it says nothing about them being for Halloween fireworks.
Also there is nothing about a special parade ADR.

It should say hallowishes dessert party. If it doesn’t say that they probably haven’t released it yet for your dates
