If we're going to be in MK for the day in addition to the MNSSHP tickets that night, can we just wear our costumes for the day? Or do we need to bring them, put them in a locker, and change at 4 p.m. or so? I haven't had luck finding an answer to this, so I thought I'd see from other DISers who may have gone in the past.

As long as you don't resemble a Disney character too closely, you can wear your costume all day. It's not super common, though. Most people prefer to wear normal clothes and change before the party.

I don't remember seeing too many wearing costumes in the morning. Last time we changed into the costumes for the party start. We did rent a locker so we didn't have to carry the stuff all day.

What do you think are the odds of getting a locker at around 1 pm? We are arriving late.

I don't think you will have a problem. We've never had issues with no lockers being available - and many people leave after lunch to rest at their resorts so I'm sure there are plenty at that time.

We are doing Magic Kingdom on the same day of a party. We plan to go back to our resort and change in the afternoon.
If you are arriving around 1 p.m. I'd say just wear your costumes since (from what I understand) they let party-goers in at 4 p.m. But that begs the question: do you want to use a park day ticket for three hours worth of park?

We are a group of three adults planning on dressing in Wizard of Oz characters (Dorothy, Witch, and Scarecrow). Planning on entering the park around noon and it will be on Halloween day. Perhaps they are more lenient on the day of Halloween? We would be willing to rent lockers if need be.

We too will be at MK before our MNSSHP that night and will be dressing for the party. For that day we have 1:20pm reservations at BOG and afterwards we plan to head out and go back to the resort to rest and to change into our party gear. We plan to head back to MK around 5 because we have dinner ADRs at Tony's at 5:25pm

I know; it's kind of crazy, right? But we already bought our tickets.. Mine even came with an extra day I can't even use for my trip (6 days for the price of 5). If we don't go, then I'll have two unused days on my ticket, and I have no plan of going back for some time after this. I can't extend the trip a day because of work, and I don't want to deal with changing the hotel reservation and all that. So, it's going to be a really expensive few hours in MK! MK is my favorite anyway, and it's always where I want to start. My mother has a year-round pass, so it doesn't affect her.

Fun costumes I did the witch last year and plan to do this year as well. I was told they are more lenient on Halloween which is when i went last year.

What does this mean? Will we have trouble with our Alice in Wonderland costumes or is that only before 4pm? We plan to arrive around 5pm. DH is the Mad Hatter, me Cheshire cat and I imagine our two daughters would be fine regardless.

It really only matters if you look like the one that does meet and greets. It's against the rules to ACT like a character and sign autographs.
