We are going as Batman, Batgirl and Robin. Although, now that Disney has purchased Marvel, I guess those characters are now part of the "Disney family".

A couple of years ago, I was looking for a costume for myself when DD12 walks up and says "I like this dress". The lady at the counter tells us it's Scarlett's from Gone With the Wind. It's the green one if you've seen the movie. I go to a professional costume shop and have them modify a hat with a green ribbon and rent it ($50!!). She had so many people call out to her ("Hi Scarlett!), or run up to her ("OMG, I love that movie!!!"). I don't know if I've ever seen DD12 happier!

We will be at MNSSHP on 10/31. DS-11 is going as Chuck Norris and DD-10 is going to be the SunDrop Girl (Drop it like it's hot) Anyone know where I can get some legwarmers?

Hate to burst your bubble, those are Warner/DC characters -- Marvel is Spideman, Iron Man and X-Men.

I wuss out and go as either "Jim Dear" from Lady and the Tramp or "Boo's Dad" from Monster's Inc. most years

Well, that goes to show how much I know about comic book characters.

They were DH's idea, anyway. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

DH and I are going as Uncle Fester and Wednesday Addams. I thought about doing Ariel and Prince Eric, but I know DH would have none of that.

When we went in 2009 we went as day of the dead themed skeletons. This year we are probably doing a Lydia (red wedding dress) / Bettlejuice if we can get the costumes to work in time.
You will probably see more non-Disney costumes than Disney.

My son dressed up as Harry Potter last year. I would say 1/2 wore Disney costumes & 1/2 non-Disney. You will be fine!
