MNSSHP costume ideas?

We have not decided what to go as this year, but last year we had 4 Incredibles T-shirts and black shorts, then went to the free facepainting in toontown and they did masks for us. We saw so many different costumes, lots of the pirate and princess variety. The best were a couple done up as Malicifent and the skeletal white coated guy from the Haunted Mansion. they were perfect and very well done. Keep in mind, we went the first week in October and it was HOT! 95 degrees and it stayed that way well into the evening. I felt so sorry for these little kids who were in hot fuzzy costumes, most ended up taking them off! Last year there was a ton of ideas over on the MNNSHP thread about what people were wearing.

I'm trying to decide as well. I don't want to pack an entire costume, it's going to take up space on the way back :)

We too are having a hard time figuring it all out. DD (15) and her friend aren't sure what to dress up as, neither am I. The Incredibles shirt and short with the face painting sounds great! Did you have to go really early for the face painting??

i would love to get a ladies pirate costume, anyone have suggestions where to get them at this time of year, up here in Canada.

There are several costume shops in downtown Toronto. The two that come to mind are Malabar and Theatrix. They have lots of different costumes and accessories for rental and purchase.

to be one of the Aristocats or possible Si or Am from Lady and the Tramp.
My son wants to be a pirate. My daughter wants to be Tink and my hubby is undecided at this point!
Whatever we all finally decide upon (as this is my daughter's third change) it has to be light to pack and wear!

The face painting was happening around 7ish, right when the party officially starts. We had gone in at 4:30 and had already rode some rides at that point. A great place for cheap costumes is Value Village or Goodwill. We had a kid's halloween party last year for my ds(7). The best costume was a Jack Sparrow that they had done with purchases from thrift stores. I swear to you I didn't recognize this kid and I see him all the time. I think if you get the hat right, any old fashioned, worn, stained clothes can pass as pirate outfits.

I was hoping she would have picked her snow white outfit, or something else...less of a huge thing to pack (crinoline..grr).

I don't think DH, and the aunts, uncles and grandparents are dressing up.

Not sure what our four year old's cousins are dressing up as....probably princess related.
