MNSSHP - any before labor day?

I'm trying to see whether it is feasible to do a late Aug-early Sept trip for 2010, and would love to fit in a MNSSHP if possible. Looking at the 2009 dates, I see the first one starting the Friday before Labor Day, as was the case in 2008.

Has there typically been a MNSSHP starting before Labor Day?

Here is the info you need from this site, Sept. 4 is the first party. We went to the first party last year and I think it was Sept. 5th. Never heard of it being any earlier

Last year was the first time they started the MNSSHP so early

How busy was the Sept 5th party last year? i.e. how long before the parade did the parade route fill up?
