well, I am braving things and ended up buying tix for mnsshp. we have adr's for the crystal palace at 5:15 beforehand...should I put the kids (ages 4, 2, 2) in their costumes for dinner, or should I wait and change them afterwards? the younger 2 tend to get a bit messy occasionally when eating, which makes me think I should hold off, but then I wonder if everyone else there will be in costume and they'll want to be, too. what would you do?

hmmm...I think I am overthinking things on this trip. lol.

I was thinking about this too. But then I thought there may not be enough time to change after dinner especially if its busy and ADRS are running late

It really depends on the type of costume. If it is a complicated one then dress them before and maybe slip a large tshirt over it while they eat (to catch the messes) If the costume is a simple one then wait till after dinner and head for the restroom and change them.
Either way it would probably be easier to dress them in your hotel instead of trying to do it in a small restroom..

Have a great time, were going to MNSSHP on the 2nd of October!

We ate at the Crystal Palace before MNSSHP last year and we took all of our costumes and changed in a large restroom in the park after we ate. The restroom was full of children getting dressed up for the event! If you feel that you'd feel too rushed by changing afterward, then let them wear their costume with a big t-shirt over them like the pp suggested! Good luck!
