I did have an amazing night. It was crowded, but not unbearable where I spent most of the night. Most people are focused on the special characters, the candy trails, the parades and the villain show, so staying out of the rides and therefore creating the illusion of more people simply because the people aren't in buildings. How was it? Were the crowds terrible? Hope you had a blast!!!![]()
My advice:
Prioritize your characters.
Figure out where the treat trails are relative to your characters and do them over the whole night.
The Frontierland area is still less crowded than the Hub/Main Street, meaning a spot there won't take hours to stake out.
Keep your costume simple. There were too many miserable people fretting about rain and what it was doing to their costume.
A side note about costumes. Don't even try to compete with the cosplayers. They are a special breed.
And finally, my absolute only complaint; the off duty cast who seemed to feel they had special access and special rights. I understand they're people too, people who like Disney enough to give back their paychecks to play at the party. However, diminishing the experience for other guests who don't have the freedom to visit often is just poor performance.
