MNSSHP 10/31 Party Sold out!

I've planned this trip way too late and the MNSSHP 10/31 party tickets are sold out!! I really wanted to take my husband to this event. My kids and I took my mother 2 years ago and made him stay home to work and take care of the dog! Feeling guilty and really wanted him to experience this wonderful party this trip!! Please someone tell me its going to be way too crowded and that he would'nt want to be there anyway!??

The 10/31 event has been sold out for quite some time, I believe since mid august. That is when Deb Wills had it posted on her website. How about the 29th, perhaps there are still tickets for that date?

We got tickets for 10/31 back in the summer because it is the only night we could attend....now I see the prices on ebay for tickets for that night (they are going for over $200/each) and I am REALLY tempted to sell the things!!

I could pay for everyones plane ticket and some really spectacular meals!!

Unfortunately the rest of the family has been looking forward to it for months and want to go regardless of the crowds!! Oh well...I hope it is not too crowded to enjoy the event. It is a first for us, and I am the family member with low crowd tolerance....hope it is worth it!!

Wow, I can't believe it. I have two extra tix for Halloween night that I was just hoping not to have to lose money on. It would be nice to have a little extra money for Xmas shopping while I'm there. Tempting.

i'm really bummed. it looks like these two tickets from a fellow diser are now up on ebay. it could be a coincidence that the ebay tickets are being sold from the same town and just happen to be the same amount of tickets our fellow diser had extra- but probably not. oh well. the almighty dollar has won out over a possible act of kindness. too tempting i guess. i apologize in advance if i'm mistaken.

If you are referring to me then I believe you owe me an apology. I posted long ago that I wanted to sell these two tickets here on the boards and noone responded to my post. (Check threads). Instead of being stuck with the tickets I listed them on Ebay.
As for your comments about the almighty dollar winning out, how dare you? Do you know that I donate 10 hours a week to a woman's shelter? Volunteer to serve dinner at the Salvation Army every Wed? Gave up my position at a law firm to take a job working with disadvantaged teens for far less money. Am a single parent who in addtion to volunteering works two jobs and saved change for almost a year to finance this vacation? You people are unbelievable. You shouldn't rush to judgement on someone's character. I'm flabbergasted.

That is very sweet of you. I would love to meet up with the DIS'ers. That sounds like fun. I've been looking forward to this party for so long. We got shut out last year and couldn't get any tickets so we've been very excited about this one. I'm assuming everyone's wearing the lime green ribbon? Any plans? Everyone going to ride HM together? Hadjii, as i said in my previous post, if i was wrong, i did apologize in advance. you said you posted on the boards that you wanted to sell two tickets but i can honestly say i never read that. since the tickets for 10/31 sold out on august 18 many people have been posting how they're looking for tickets. you yourself must have known how the tickets were being sought after since your previous post to this thread said it was tempting to sell them on ebay. others then responded to you that they would love to purchase your tickets. with all due respect i personally would rather have made a fellow disers day by selling the tickets to them. since learning the type of person you are with volunteering and working so hard i'm sure you weren't just trying to make a buck and i'm sorry if i offended you. i apologize again for thinking that money won out over an act of kindness. happy vacation and happy halloween!

Hadjii, i'm sorry that you feel that i publicly chastised you and gave you a left handed apology. i certainly did not mean for it to sound that way.i was really bummed out and venting from the frustration i felt from people on ebay (and i don't mean you) making a small fortune from other people's misfortune. by misfortune i mean the 10/31 tickets being sold out before they were able to purchase them. i guess it's none of my business what people do with things that belong to them. again i was just venting to my fellow disers. i would never purposely hurt someone else because as you don't know me either that's not the kind of person that i am. please- no hard feelings.

Hadjii -- I'm surprised that, with all of the "Need tickets for 10/31 party!" threads that have been on the boards that you didn't find buyers for your tickets way before now! I've seen folks looking for those tickets for over a month. It looks like you posted YOUR "I have tickets to sell" post in July, long before tickets to Halloween night actually sold out, which may be the thing here. If you posted back then, that's probably why no one responded. There were still tickets available. But I, too, was wondering why you posted the availability of the tickets and then still went the eBay route. You had a half-dozen nearly immediate responses. So ... that might be the thing confusing people as to motive.

At any rate, they're your tickets and you can sell or give them to anyone you wish via any method that's legal. (Well ... eBay and Disney tickets is one of those "might be legal / might not be legal" things, but that's another thread!) Based on how many people on the DIS wanted them, you'd probably have had to hold a lottery to choose someone!

I was once a single mother and when I was money was tight. Any profit off of these tickets I'm sure will go towards her vacation budget and her children will benefit and be able to do things they might not have been able to do. It's not like she bought the tickets with the intention of selling them, that would be wrong. She had them extra and although helping others is kind your own children come first. She stated she scraped money together for this trip and I understand how that feels. I hope this money helps make her vacation more enjoyable.
