MMRR, can you bypass preshow?

I’ve got a trip to Disney planned next week and we’d like to do MMRR, but we do not want to be crammed into a “fill all available space” room for any amount of time given what is currently happening. I know that for Haunted Mansion you can ask to bypass the stretching room. Is there any similar accommodation for MMRR? Thanks in advance!

When we went on MMRR a couple of weeks ago Disney was not running the pre show.

I don’t know the exact answer to your question because we didn’t ask. However, we had a similar concern in July so what we did was linger a bit as the group was filling in the preshow room so we would end up in the back of the room a bit away from the crowd. Just thought I’d share in case they won’t let you bypass.

I agree - everyone crams at the front leaving a big amount of space at the back. Unlike the stretching room, there actually is room to stretch in that space.

We have ridden it early and they weren't doing the pre-show.

Both times I was there this month they were running the pre-show.

Rock N Rollercoaster is even worse. The holding area before going into the pre-show is filled and they kept adding more people. The cast member said they are going to fit 70 people in that small area and told people to move and stand right in front of others waiting with almost no space.

I just came back and they were running the pre-show. However, they don't fill it with an uncomfortable number of people. Haunted Mansion is much worse.

I just did it today and they ran the pre show (no idea if you can skip it), but it was less crowded in that room than the LL line and the total time in the room is less than the time in line before and after…just letting you know that it might be difficult not to be in an indoor crowd of people even if you skip the show.

Both Haunted Mansion and RR pack you in real tight. They're always telling you to fill in every inch of space so you're all packed in. It always baffled me because even the CDC is telling you to always social distance and keep your distance between other people. Heck, you can't even get near a character!
MMRR is usually only packed in the front, so my advice is to just stay against the back wall of MMRR and you won't have anyone around you.

I mean it is what it is at this point theme parks are crowded the days of 6 feet are gone.

Even without the pre-show, there is no distancing in the lines leading up to it or after the show as you load onto the ride. We are here now and, while there is masking, there is no distancing in the lines At any of the rides or attractions.

We were there right before Thanksgiving and it wasn't bad. Everyone had masks on as well. We stayed toward the back and no cramming.

I wanted to find a way to nicely say this…if crowds brother you, Disney isn’t the place for you right now. The MMRR pre show was probably one of the places I felt most comfortable all day…somebody is monitoring mask usage (unlike in other indoor lines) and it’s not very packed. The line cues are bad right now (even with genie+ lines). We are currently not sure if we regret coming…we had so much fun, but really just needed to push all of our covid concerns of the last 1.5 years out of our head to enjoy ourselves.

It was probably the least crowded room of anything we did all week. I actually wandered about to take a few pictures from different angles. I'd be way more worried about other attractions, some mentioned above.
