When my youngest was due her MMR, it was around the time that the Dr Wakefield reports had just become available and it was in all the papers etc.
At the time I thought no-way was she having MMR, and I paid for sepvax at Direct Health 2000. I went down the same route for my younger child, this was just because I wanted her to have the same as the elder one.
Im not so sure there is a link, and for every report linking MMR to autism, there follows another report disproving it, so who knows.... No smoke without fire maybe.....
So, my 2 had sepvax, but when it comes to boosters, I will be letting them have the MMR jab, but thats because they are older, and their bodies will (in my mind) be more able to cope with all that nastiness in one go.
However, its extremeley important that the children are vaccinated in some form or other....the simplest answer would be for the govt to allow the choice....this annoys me so much that they are so stubbourn as to not make such a simple change to the rules.
