Mmmmm....new chicken spice

If you're looking for a new spice or flavor for your chicken I would suggest Emeril's chicken rub. Yes, it's actually called chicken rub. It's in the spice aisle with all the other spices in the supermarket. We had it the other night on baked chicken and it was very good!
 
Is it salty or spicey?...when ever I find those rubs they tend to be salty...do tell what you think.

I don't know about the chicken rub, but I have a couple "recipes" for Emeril seasonings if anyone is interested.
 
It wasn't too spicey at all but it was a tad salty. It was still good.

Meriweather, what are the recipes for?
 

I need a receipy for a chicken rub do you have one Meriweather? I don't think that Emerils spices will be sold here in Canada. I had a great one but the only store that sold it has closed. I have one of those rotiseries.

Emeril Lagasse's Bayou Blast

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/2 tablespoon paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme

Combine all of the above ingredients thoroughly.

This recipe yields 2/3 cup of Emeril's famous "Bayou Blast" Creole seasoning.

Emeril's Creole Seasoning

-------- ------------ --------------------------------
2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme

Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight jar or container.
Will keep for up to 3 months.
Makes about 2/3 cup.

1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon cracked black pepper
