MM Antenna Toppers

Well, it happened.... somebody stole the Mickey Mouse antenna topper off my dad's van. I had put it on the antenna in March. It lasted all of 3 months. Argh. What kind of lowlife stands at somebody else's car and picks off the antenna topper????

Does anybody know if there are plain Mickey heads at the Disney Stores (like Vaughan Mills) and if they're cheap? I need to replace it. It served a practical purpose. My dad is always forgetting where he parks his car so we had told him to look for the mouse head.... so I need another mouse!!

Me too!!!!!! I had mine stolen last wed. in the parking lot while I was at work. I am lucky that I had bought quite a selection while I was at DW im march. I was at the DS in vaughan mills and there are a few but not many. Not in great condition either. I have a couple that I would be willing to part with. One is a mickey head wearing the fantasmic hat and the other Mickey is wearing the year of a million dreams hat. I am heading back to DW in August so I will be able to get a replacement. I live in Aurora so I am not far from you. PM me if you are interested.

I thank you for your offer. I'm heading to DL before you go to WDW so if I haven't got a replacement topper by then, I'll buy one in Anaheim. The one that got stolen was from the New York City store on Fifth Avenue and only cost me $2. I've got the Sorcerer's hat MM one on another van antenna.

I'll check out Vaughan Mills later this week if I have the time and see what they've got.

I dunno why people have to be so stupid as to take something as inconsequential as an antenna topper. These are the same people who bust up Jack O Lanterns at Halloween or topple snowmen. No fun in their heart.

I realize that you are headed to DL soon but I have the toppers in my bedroom now if you do not find one at VM. I just meant that I could replace the one I pass on to you when I am there in Aug. The offer still stands if you cannot locate one.

I've had them stolen too. I also had a plain red Mickey who was on my antenna so tight that it was hard to get off, so I thought he was safe. I was mistaken! I came out to find one ear ripped off and a bunch of key stab marks in him! I assume they tried to get him off, and failed, and then took it out on poor Mickey!

About a year and 1/2 ago I had my Stitch Topper taken. The funny thing is, the neighbor across the street saw a kid take the topper off of my the car. The neighbor ran out after the kid and got it back. I was taken aback when the doorbell rang, and there was my neighbor holding my stitch topper.

I don't know from where or when but I noticed it the same afternoon that my van had been in the dealership for service. I had the one with the red glitter mouse ears that said 'the happiest place on earth'

Lucky for me I'll be there in 26 days to get a replacement. Excellent excuse to go back

Well the new van does not have a flippin antenna and now I am stuck with a bag full of them! Maybe I will make a antenna chain with a thread and needle and hang them from my rearview mirror!

Too funny. My car has no antenna so I have to put it on the vans. My dads'. I just went to the Disney Store and picked up 3 mouse heads for $2 each. My mom wants me to put a message on the mouse head that says people stealing the head will have their photo taken. Yeah, right.... Mickey's entire head will be a Crimestoppers bulletin. I think not.

We bought my Mom a unique MM topper a few years ago at WDW. She said she liked it too much to put it on her car & have it risk being stolen. She keeps it in her home offfice.

We laughed at this, thinking who would steal such a thing?? Just another example of how Mother's Know Best!!

I got fed up of losing my MM antenna toppers to anyone who wanted to take them, so now I have the topper inside the car stuck down on the ledge behind the back seats.

haha.... alas, that won't help my dad find the car!! He noticed the topper was gone when he was coming out of the bank. He went looking for the mouse head and ended up at somebody elses' van!!!!! Luckily, his van was parked next to it. He put the new topper on the van tonight. Hopefully it stays put longer than the last one. Maybe I should put grease on it so if anybody touches it, they get a handful of black grease....

When technicians take customer cars through the wash the toppers must fall off. Maybe thats what happened to yours??? I just went to through the carwash today, but I made sure I took my topper OFF!

When technicians take customer cars through the wash the toppers must fall off. Maybe thats what happened to yours??? I just went to through the carwash today, but I made sure I took my topper OFF!

I have been known to make my hubby go BACK to the dealership to get my MM antenna ball. Now, they just put it on a shelf for him. lol

LOL. Well, I know my dad didn't take the van through the carwash and it wasn't at the dealership when our topper disappeared. However, I do know about carwashes. I had a pink ribbon magnet on the back of my car and I forgot about it when I went through one of those power washes. It was gone when I got home. Oh well.

My DH also works at a dealership but this was not where he works. I'm surprised that he didn't mention that it might have come off in the car wash.
Wish I had known sooner, I would have gone back to ask for it.
