MLK week or President’s Day Week

Which week would be less crowded? Also which weeks are considered spring break?

Some schools, especially in the Northeast, have a "February break" around Presidents' Day, so I would guess Martin Luther King Day weekend would be less crowded.

Spring break can be anywhere from early March through mid-April. In 2025, Easter isn't until April 20, so "spring break" could run even later in some areas.

If given these choices, I'd do MLK weekend. President's Day weekend often comes around Valentine's Day, sometimes Mardi Gras, and sometimes Daytona race activities. I always thought Pres Day weekend was kind of the beginning of spring break activities, which will last into April....

I would agree with this. Public schools in the Northeast often have a week off in February and another week off in April. Private schools in the region tend to have spring break in March. Colleges have a week off which can be anytime in March or possibly early April.

MLK Week for sure - as other's have said, President's Week is a school break and crowds are at Spring Break level.

Another vote for MLK weekend for much lower crowds than Presidents Day.

Mardi Gras is incredibly fun at Universal and the extras are included with you daily park ticket. You might want to watch some YouTube vlogs of Mardi Gras and see if it matches up with your plans and IF the higher crowd levels would be worth it to you.

President's Day week will be way more crowded. That said, if you're staying at a premum hotel with unlimited express pass, it can be totally doable at Universal, if that week is better for you in terms of scheduling. (We've done it twice, M-F President's Day week when our kids are out of school -- stayed most or all nights at premium hotels for unlimited express pass, and had fantastic times.)
