Is it difficult to get tickets for any of the exhibition games in the Orlando area once you are down there? Our plan currently has one free day. I was thinking about taking in one of the exhibition games going on in the area. How difficult is it to get tickets?

You can take your chances on being able to see a game, but I wouldn't risk it. I'd definitely purchase tickets in advance. As a big Yankees' fan, I know that the entire Yankees' spring training schedule (they play in Tampa about an hour from WDW) usually sells out shortly after they go on sale. The Atlanta Braves actually play their spring training games right at Disney World at the Wide World of Sports Complex. Those tickets are pretty hard to come by also. Here's a link for the purchase of Braves tickets:

Hope this helps.

On our spring 2004 trip we went on a whim to a Braves game and all that was left were lawn tickets. All seats were sold out for upcoming games during our trip. There was no shade and it ended up being too hot for our youngest so we didn't stay for the entire game. If you can, I would try to get tickets as soon as you can.

My dh and I have been planning for months to go down to Orlando during spring training. I wanted to go to the Braves vs. NY Yankees b/c of it being a night game while we're there. Tickets went on sale Sunday at 7am (Pacific time) and when I (remembered) got online at 4pm (Pacific) the only tickets left were for the lawn. :sad1:

I did buy the tickets anyway. Hopefully, we'll have a good time watching the Yankees go down anyway. LOL

Agree - try to buy ahead of time. Two years ago we got lucky and walked up and bought great seats on the 3rd base line for the Braves - last year we ended up on the lawn and it was packed. It was difficult even to walk to concessions and the bathroom...but still a ton of FUN!
