I'm off to Cincinnati in a few hours for the games today and tomorrow. We were invited by Thom Brennaman to visit the Reds' radio booth, so we'll be visiting there before the game tomorrow. For those of you who don't know who Thom is, he's on the Reds official radio [700 AM], works for Fox Sports, and called the Boise State win over Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. His dad, Marty, has also been calling the games for the Reds since the 1970's and is now in the Radio Hall of Fame and has received the Ford C. Frick Award for the best broadcaster in baseball.

In Mets news, K-Rod gets handed his first legitimate loss today. I don't count the Castillo error game because that really should have closed it out. Well at any rate, it had to happen sometime. I think it's the one year anniversary of when the Mets beat him last year.

My step-dad had a mutual friend with him and one night in Chicago they all went out and had dinner and such. Ever since then, he's remembered my step-dad when we've seen him around and last time they talked he invited us up there.

I just hope that the cardinal GM makes a trade soon(hopefully Mark DeRosa). We really need a power spot at third and then when Glaus gets back we can have him become utility.

Ahhh I didn't see that until now. I was sitting in 516 in the promenade. Pretty high up but great view. haha small world. Was it your first time there?

edit: just read about Endy Chavez. Torn ACL, might not be able to play until mid 2010 season. He is the reason I fell in love with baseball. I always liked it but the catch in the 06 playoffs changed everything for me. That's a total bummer even though he's not on the Mets.
