I just got back from the Brewer game. They chose me to go onto the dugout and do this deal or no deal type thing. I won a $100 gas card! It was pretty sweet. And the Brewers won. FIRST PLACE CREW! YEAH!

The Padres actually won a game for once!!!

At least the Brewers, Cubs, and Cards all had a postponed game, so we only dropped .5 game in the standings.

Brewers vs. Cardinals is the series of the weekend. Which ever team takes two out of the three games will hold the #1 spot in the NL Central, assuming they make up the postponed game today. If they don't make it up, we could leave this weekend still with a tie.

Not at all. If anyone were to win the West, I'd want it to be the Padres. I can't stand LA, dating back to when they were in the same division with the Reds. Even though Bonds is gone, I stil can't stand SF. And Diamondback fans have been pretty rude when I've seen them at games, so there's a dislike developed there. The only team I like in the West besides the Padres is the Rockies, and that's because my assistant principal's son-in-law is in their minor league system.

And Bruce is a beast, but it's hard not to have my favorite player be Brandon Phillips. Dude's a class act and great ballplayer.

Yeah, I guess I should've included the brew crew since you are leading the division. I guess I'm just sore still since back in '07, the brewers played a big role in why the Padres didn't make the playoffs.
