Wow, 18 days at wdw! Back and exhausted. For that many days, I would not even try to write a daily diary, So just the important parts. :thumbsup2

Roll Call > Mky (40 something, female), Sis ( ditto), and Our nephew Max 9yr.

American Airlines: 1st time taking them, in some years. Was ok, we where about 40 minutes late. No movie, or radio on flights either way. No food offered to buy either.

National Suv> reserved. Only 1 available so no cars to pick from. Luckily we got a Kia Sorrento, with 2000 miles on it. The garage was totally empty when we got there. In and Out was very quick. No c/o! Very happy. No problem with paper work.

Resorts:

Beach Club (ap rate) booked Std. view and upgraded to gv concerige. Glad I did not pay for the upgrade. Yes, it was a wonderful surprise. But we just don't use it. Only took some cokes back to our room. Our room was the further most room from the elevators too. Closest to YC side. Our view was pleasant and quiet. overlooking the BC's bus area woods. We could see space ship earth thou. Our 1 request for assistance with the concerige (was free upgrade, so really didn't do any planning with them), was losing our disney dining experience card, and asking about getting a replacement or any help with this situation. She was cold, indifferent (I guessed caused we didn't pay to be there?) and made 1 phone call. She then told me, nothing can be done except call monday to friday, to get it in the mail, sent to your house, in about 6 weeks. No exceptions. They only mail it to your residence. She also told me she really didn't know anything about those cards. I talked to guest services (at mgm) the next day, they told me numbers to call for a temporary card and where wonderful about other ideas for help. We did get the temp card with NO problem on monday, picked up at the epcot guest service window. Thank you disney dining & mgm guest service! The BC is one of our fav. resorts. The room was very nice. And we enjoyed SAB.

Polynesian > for the remaining 14 days. We finally scored Samoa 3rd floor, volcano pool view. Actually I prefered a few other buildings after getting this. Yes, it is great. And we like being by the pool but: no one ever talks about the down side. It is noisy at times. and we found Ohana's had a great view of our room with the lights on. So watch the curtains. ;) No, I would not turn it down if we are placed there again, but I won't worry about getting it in the future. We are regulars at the Poly. No problems. Everyone was nice, and wonderful. We fully enjoyed the marina, and both pools. Monorail is great. Buses are always off and on from any resort. The construction did not bother us at all. We where well informed (thanks tikiman). Captain Jack's really didn't seem any different to us, except for the limited seating. Thanks Poly!

Favorite activities:

GF pirates cruise: nephew loved it! He is keeping the "secret" and we didn't really get details, but he rates it 5 stars and wants to go again. Note: nephew has adhd, and I really worried about this. He did great, and no concerns whatsoever.

MK barber shop: Yes, he was skeptical but we got him in there. Got a great haircut, and did the get mickey, spikes, and glitter. He loved it! The ladies there are great.

Poly marina: We rented boats several times. With nephew, could not do little mouseboats, (would be slow?) So we had the Pontoon, and new intermediate sized boat. We loved the intermediate one. Very easy to drive, and still a feel of some speed.

Monorail driver: Max got to seat in the drivers car, and was thrilled. The monorail driver was great. Talkative and friendly. Max could not stop talking about it.

Parks: Overall great. We can spend all day at the Park or resort, and fully feel the magic.

Weather: in all our time there we had about 2 hours of rain? Total. Never experienced this before, it was great. I have the tan to prove it. :thumbsup2

Dining: No dining plan. (ap will travel) Disney dining experince card.

We loved: Chef Mickey's > great characters, servers, and food.
GF tea > yes, got the nephew there. Luckily there where 2 other boys there too. We always go, and glad he let us.
Ohana's breakfast> very fun, ok food. They gave me the DDC discount, after I told them we lost it. Wow!
Sci fi drive in: lots of fun. nephew loved it. Great food.
Colombia Harbor House> Great tuna sandwich!
BW bakery> Sis ordered my B-day cake, and picked up in am. Was beauitful! Hand painted Simba picture. Was wonderful cake. Butter cream frosting and white cake (sis allergy to chocolate). Would definately do again.
Wolfgang Pucks cafe> (d west side) best meal we had. Even max loved this place. Carrot cake was fabulous.
Planet Hollywood> Were pleasantly surprised. Been so/so in past for us. But we had great service and Good food.

Would skip next time: Chef de france> was my b-day dinner. Food was dry? and uninteresting. Service was good. I picked this, cause has always been a favorite.
LeCelliar> WOW! 1st they lost our "check in" we got there at 6pm for 6:20 told they are running late. We said no problem we are early, and will wait. 7:15pm still waiting, I hear one of the greeters say we are all caught up, I am taking my break? So I then asked about this and how much longer, should we expect to wait? She said, everyone is already seated up till now. So, I explained no they wheren't..... . My problem here is as people with the 7ish ressies where still being seated, while they looked for somewhere to put us (as a walk in)? I explained, we had an adr, came early to be there, and have been in there lobby for a hour. We finally got seated and they offered a "fast pass" Now its after 7pm and we haven't eaten yet where am I using this fast pass in the next 2 hours? Thought, no problem lets eat! Wrong. Ordered the filet but didn't want the BBQ sauce, sis too. Waitress, no problem do it all the time. Served both with BBQ sauce. She came back and said, she would fix it. Sis decided to eat hers, nephews hot dog burned, and he would not eat it. They brought my new steak, and its red throughout. I ordered well done. Just gave up at this, everyone wants to get out of here. Its now after 8:30pm. I used to really like LeCelliar, maybe it was an off nite?
(Living Seas) Corral Reef> Terrible service. We seat down and our waiter in the next few seconds drops all the drinks on the table next to us. Those ladies where soaked. The orders taken, we decided on appetizers and dessert. (Went there for the dessert.) I order mine and nephews but nephew (with adhd) is arguing with me, and the waiter is asking him if thats what he wants? We now are waiting, and waiting? 30 minutes after ordering we get our pop, another 15mins and the waiter says yours is coming? I ordered the mushroom cream soup (was great), sis has a salad, and nephew got mac n' cheese. 45 minutes? They bring it out and said do you want to order your dessert now, so it does not take as long? Sure.... . We are done with meal, and wait another 15 minutes for dessert? I asked for the manager at this point. She comes over, and I asked her to please review the time of our adr, our check in time, what we ordered and the fact we are still seating here waiting for dessert. She came back appalled. Said the cooks are slow today, would you like a fast pass? (Personally, I would of guessed that soup, salad, and macncheese are pre made? ) NO, just the check.
Nine Dragons> Seemed to have a large raise in prices on certain items. And we usually split a plate here, but the portions where cut to about 1/2 now? Very noticable change. Service here was unchanged. Overall nothing special. But you can get in here without an adr, it was empty.
Liberty tree tavern> Good food, nice people, but speed eating? We sat down for dinner, and 5 seconds later had a plate in front of me. The waitress 2 minutes later, said I will leave the check, so you can pay me anytime. I guess she must of heard about LeCelliar & Corral Reef?

We ate lots of fast food with nephew. Was all ok. Could use some better )or more seating areas).
Recommend having all ADR's set up. We like to eat in the resorts in case of change of plans, and they where all booked up too.

Crowds at the park where up and down. Did follow TGMike. Thanks. That helped. As usual the crowds and people (guest) seem nicer at the beginning of the trip, than towards the end. Guess, we where probably too?

Any questions? Mky! princess:

Thanks for the highlights!
I found the portions at Prime Time to be cut in half. I think maybe the dining plan? Who knows.

I'm worried about Le Cellier :( that's where we are doing Candlelight when we go back. But, we have to try it once!! Perhaps it depends on the day/night. CM for us was bad, bad, bad food!!

thank you for sharing the high & low lights of your trip... MKY :wave2:

That`s so funny...We actually had a table overlooking the volcano pool at `Ohana. :goodvibes ..
That`s a lovely view though !! :cloud9:
