MKPS Update - New shoot during 1 year ann.

Looking through your pics I did think that the wedding pics looked quite good, not amazing (obviously) but then I got to the second shoot and realise that the first shoot was terrible. I think there are a few good pics in there, but every single pic in the second shoot looks fantastic and that is what every couple should get every time, congrats on perservering and getting a good result from disney

on another thread about the MKPS I know someone had asked how a photographer can get creative with a castle - that person NEEDS to see your new photos!

Thx a lot, PrincessShea!

And Char-lottie -

I know - at first I was having a lot of trouble expressing why I was SO upset about the first shoot, because looking at it by itself, it isn't horrible. But... when you step back and take it in the context that we were paying $800 for pictures in the Magic Kingdom, THAT'S what makes them so upsetting. It just isn't an $800 package. First, there are amateur mistakes - shadows across my dress and across our faces in a number of shots, the balcony shots are unusable because of the angle, and he left things in the shots instead of moving them (the posts for queues in the castle). But beyond that, they are just so bland. Good shots, ok. But all of the good shots, that look like MK shots, are the first ones. And they all look about the same. After that - do they even look like they were taken in the Magic Kingdom? Does anything about them look magical at all? No. And we didn't really get that many shots for the $800 either. Now if they were great shots, I guess it wouldn't have bothered me... but to get so few shots AND have them be boring on top of it - well, it was just killing me that we paid that much for so little.

And most people who haven't seen a really good MKPS photo shoot have the same reaction - they aren't sure what I'm complaining about, though they will admit that the balcony shots were bad and the shadows and stuff were pretty bad too, given how much we paid. It isn't until they see a good shoot - or now until they see our re-shoot - that they realize just how bad the first one really was.

But boy, I can't sing the praises of Amy enough. Didn't she do an incredible job? I just LOVE her work!!!!

Isn't Amy Wonderful! I had her too. We had the 5am shoot but since it was like 2 weeks after yours daylight savings had happend and we had the same lighting. Dark until that last shots on the bridge. Amy was great about moving trash cans and all. I can not wait to see my pictures. They said two weeks which will be next Monday. Oh I k now I owe youa PM.....I was crazy busy with Wedding stuff and a family problem once I got back and then my at home reception!

I love your new pictures so much and you have me sooo excited to see mine now. LOL

We have to get together and rehash all things Disney Wedding! :rotfl:

I'm so glad that things were able to get resolved for you. Your new set of pictures are fantastic! I remember some of your earlier posts about how disappointing the first shoot was for you. I remember how much we enjoyed our MK pictures, so I'm glad that you were finally able to get that same experience princess:

Ok - they are up. Go take a look!

You can ignore the first login I posted. They misspelled my (old) name anyway.....

To see the site that has both the first MKPS pictures taken on our wedding day AND the re-shoot pictures taken during our anniversary trip, go to:

Note that IS different than the previous post - though not by much. There is an "s" on the end of Cummings now.

I do love the new pictures. And DH just looks so.... Kingly! :lovestruc

Picking out the ones I want is going to be SOOO tough.

Great Pictures! They are beautiful! Your wedding gown was lovely!! I might have to request Amy - she took great shots!

Thanks Tink and FigmentFan!

And GoldieLox - yours turned out great! You looked beautiful! And your DH looked great too.

And don't worry about not getting back to me - whenever you get a chance. I figured you were just a little busy and all.... :lmao: And probably still are....

Congrats again!
