MK upgrade

Ok MKers, I need your help.

Want to upgrade my Believe key to Inspire so I can go to park on the Saturday after I arrive on Wednesday in July.

If I upgrade on Wednesday, do you think I will be able to get a Saturday rezzie?

If I buyaticket for Saturday, currently at $194, and have it in the app, can I use it toward my MK upgrade? A CM in the chat told me no, but from what I’ve read on these boards, that’s not true.

I just want to go on Saturday because I think the crowds will be lower due to most MK being blocked and the special summer tickets aren’t good on the weekends.

I don't believe they are supposed to allow you to use a ticket as a form of payment to upgrade your MK. There is another thread with another Tink who has the same question. https://www.disboards.com/threads/magic-key-expenses-just-venting.3946988/

Which Saturday in July? The only one that I can see potentially being a problem is July 6. Realistically, at least one of the parks should be open for reservations.

Yes, I have been following her post as well. I also reread the summer ticket specials and there is one that is good for Monday through Sunday (every day basically) although it’s the higher price one so who knows what weekend crowds will be like?

I was looking forward to a nice quiet Saturday like I had 4th of July weekend a couple of years ago.

Oh well.

Does anyone know what time those ticket booths open? These are the ones out in the esplanade, correct? I guess that’s where you have to go to upgrade. Last one I walked by over by security looked like it was all closed up. Had a bunch of office chairs inside it, like storage area.
