MK Under the Sea show - avoid?

I have read some really mixed reviews about this show (not exactly mixed...mostly negative). We could go and see for ourselves but don't want to waste time (and definitely wouldn't use FP) if it's not well done. After seeing the FOLK - which is awesome - wondering if Under the Sea is anywhere close to being entertaining for preschoolers (1-5) or if we should spend time elsewhere?

We enjoy both the show in DS and the ride in MK. If you've never been to either, I suggest you try them and decide for yourself. If you read these boards often enough you'll realize there's a lot of differing opinions.

Or do you mean the Nemo show in AK? My kiddos liked it the first year we went (4 and 6). They didn’t have issues with the length but they had been to plays that long before.

I would think that both the ride in MK and the show in DHS would appeal to preschoolers.

We've done both and definitely enjoyed the show more than the ride, but both were fine. I don't really need to do either one again, but we're not exactly the target audience.

I would say that both are worth doing.

We really liked it. I will say, though, it's pretty conventional musical theater, only shorter, if that's not your cup of tea...

I love the Finding Nemo show at AK. The singing is live, not taped, and it's a well-done production. Preschoolers will enjoy it, and you might enjoy it too.

If you have an extra FP it's worth it--by getting in early you can sit towards the front and be more immersed. Try to get seats near the aisle.

If you have Nemo fans, then give it a shot and see. It's more of a Broadway style show

Wife and I both enjoy the movies (and Broadway plays) but we found the show to be incredibly boring. Imo I'd put it as the worst show on property

Yeah, I'll agree in saying that the Nemo show is very good. It is a bit long though, and if you are not a big Nemo fan then it isn't crucial. If I could only see one show at AK it would be Lion King, but both are worthwhile.

FYI: I LOVE the Little Mermaid show at HS! It is a little dated, but if you've never seen it then it is very enjoyable and not that long.

It's a live musical retelling of Finding Nemo, so if the kids liked the movie they should like the show. It's extremely well done and we make a point to see it on every trip.

Nemo is different. Some people can't seem to get past the concept. I think the talent needed to put it on is impressive and we always enjoy it when we go. We don't go to see it every trip.
But, I don't every suggest anyone skip a show they've never seen, even if it's a show I hate. You should see every show for yourself.
But no FP is needed for certain.

Yes, sorry I had it confused...I meant the Nemo show in AK. Argh!!Too much planning this morning - getting parks confused...getting shows confused with rides...:worship:
I actually really enjoyed the Nemo show in AK. It is a nice cool theater, a much needed break from the heat in AK, and a nice show.

Probably not the greatest odds for a one year old to sit for all of Nemo. Maybe if you had a close seat but I doubt it. We had to leave after 5 minutes with ours but we were near the back. She was a sitter too. We have had good results with the lion king at ages 1-5+.
