Ooops, Double Post, sorry, guys :confused3 :rolleyes1 Please refer to This One

I've had the opportunity to work the Magic Kingdom Entrance Turnstyles and would like to share some tips & info with all of you which may save you time and help expedite your entry into the most Magical Place on Earth :wizard:

I've noticed various questions here from time to time and I'm hoping that putting this info all in one place will prove helpful :)

The first suggestion I'd like to offer is, when you first receive your tickets, please designate one ticket for *each* member in your party (if a paper ticket, please write or sign names on the back of each ticket ). Have each person ready at the turnstyle with their own ticket. Children (ages 3-9) with a child's ticket do *not* need to use the finger scan biometrics. Once a new Adult (ages 10+) ticket is used in the biometric system, that ticket will not work for another member in your party, so always use the *same* ticket for each person, and always use the *same* hand for your finger scan.

Protect your tickets and keep them safe from contact with credit cards and cell phones as these can cause your tickets to become demagnetized rendering them unreadable at the turnstyles. (if this happens, visit the Guest Relations window where they will print you a replacement)

Lost tickets - visit Guest Services, bring along a photo ID and if possible have all of your other party's tickets along.....they will look up your information, void the lost ticket and print you a replacement.

Know your ticketing media. Depending upon your purchase, some roomkeys have your park passes on them, and some don't, requiring a separate ticket at the turnstyle. Some tickets are ONE park per day only....if you have these, you may not visit more than one park on any given day, as these are not Park-Hoppers.

Don't panic at the biometrics reader :) ;) Hold two fingers (like a Peace Sign) and slide them into the box, all the way in and around the black post and gently close your fingers together (like a scissor). Don't press down (this is not fingerprinting). CM's attending the turnstles will gladly help you to do this properly if you require assistance :)

If you have older tickets (those with no magnetic strip on the back) or tickets that have become frayed, wet or otherwise worn or destroyed...... please visit the Guest Service window for replacement before heading to the turnstyles.

Park Opening - Guests are admitted through the turnstyles approximately 10 minutes before park opening, but will remain on the Mickey Floral side of the Train Station until the official park opening. There is an offical opening ceremony each morning, best viewed from the center, in front of the Mickey Floral.

If you have Breakfast reservations for *before* park opening, you will be directed towards the left side turnstyles, where you will be admitted at the appropriate time.
If your breakfast reservations are at park opening or afterwards, you will be admitted through the other turnstyles along with all the other day guests.

Stroller rentals are located in the front of the park entry on the left hand side just outside of the News Stand.......Wheelchair and ECV rentals are on the right hand side.....locker rentals are located underneath the train station on the right hand side.

*SPECIAL EVENT WRISTBANDS* such as MNSSHP or MVMCP - location and distribution for wristbands are at the Rose Garden (right side of the Castle heading towards the walkway towards Tomorrowland) from 4pm until 6pm and are distributed at the turnstyles beginning at 4pm and continue until closing.

***HAVE A MAGICAL TIME** :wizard: ::MickeyMo :)

Thanks so much for the information! great tips!

The one piece of advice I would give about park tickets....if you are staying at a WDW resort put your tickets on your room key. Here are a few reasons why.....

If you lose them tickets are easy to replace.

Room is key is more durable than the paper tickets which is a big plus for us.

You don't have to keep up with a lot of stuff by having one item that serves as key, ticket, and even cash to purchase things in WDW.

Each key will have the individuals name on it so they easy to keep up with.

You can even put the remaining days of park tickets on keys. This something that they started doing in the last year. I know when we went in 2004 they couldn't add partial tickets.

That is terrific - thanks!

If I may add one thing -

Bag Check - Every park every day every time you enter. I saw so many people try to bypass or say "but you checked it this morning"! Open it up - unzipper it, whatever it takes to speed up the check and make it easier for the security people. Even a "tiny bag" is a bag and they will want to check it.

I had more LOL moments waiting for bag check!
