We hope to snag a TS dinner for MK on Jan. 2. I am open to suggestions, with the exception of Plaza and Crystal Palace (already eaten there before). We are going to try for BOG lunch unless anyone things dinner is just a must. Also trying to work around fireworks time if anyone has a ADR time suggestion. TIA!

I really liked BOG dinner. Totally different atmosphere than lunch, and yummy food. You also get to meet the Beast, though that may not be an incentive one way or the other. But I'd recommend doing BOG dinner. :)

Is it still 1 TS credit for dinner?

It's pretty limited choices, we do like BOG for dinner, getting reservations there seems to be the hardest. It is pricey but the restaurant is pretty cool and there is the Beast photo op which OP mentioned. We haven't tried CRT.
I thought Skipper's was okay, a little disappointed in the food, Tony's is okay - I like the atmosphere, the food is pretty average.

For ADR time you probably want to eat 1.5 - 2 hours before the fireworks. Dining can sometimes take longer than anticipated.
If you don't mind traveling, all the monorail resorts also offer 1 TS credit dining options, The Wave, Chef Mickeys, Kona Cafe, 'Ohana, 1900 Park Fare, Grand Floridian Cafe. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to dine outside MK. BOG dinner is 1 TS credit.
If eating outside MK, you'd need to add more time to travel to MK.

I'd recommend avoiding Tony's. We enjoyed our meal at Skippers. The fish (grouper) was delicious!

BOG lunch isn't that great. BOG lunch is technically a QS, not a TS credit. BOG dinner is worth the extra cost/credit. Skippers is good too.

Tony's is awful. I'd avoid that. I haven't tried Skippers but a friend of mine has and he said it was not good. You've already been to CP, Plaza, and are thinking of BOG lunch.... really, there's nothing left inside MK. i'd go to a nearby resort...The Wave is awesome. Great food. Ditto for GF Cafe.

RE: BOG, I loved lunch! Very good food at lunch and i love the fact that you can seat yourself.

If you can I would do BOG dinner. I know a lot of people don't care for it but we have never had a bad meal or service at Tony's. We also like LTT for lunch.

One thing nice about BOG for lunch is considered QS so you only have to use one of your QS credits,
Plus you can choose which room you sit in, we love the West Wing with all the special touches.
Food was one of the best QS meals in the park.
I also really enjoyed Skipper's the Whole fish was delicious and
I love the theme of the Restaurant, which makes you feel like you've stepped into an old movie.
