MK transportation question

Hello fellow campers!

Are the boats the only source of tranportation to the Magic Kingdom? The reason I am wondering is that I have tickets to MNSSHP and want to make sure that we get back to the resort by boat. Also, at that time of night, is the boat route direct or does is still stop at the WL?

I was there the last week of September the boats were running for the party and they did stop at the lodge
