MK toll plaza bypass open

Blog Mickey reports that the ramp to bypass the MK toll plaza when going to the resorts is open. The parking entrance is on the right, the ramp to the resorts is on the left. There's no mention of getting to Ft. Wilderness, but it looks like you would still keep to the right.

You should keep left towards the resorts, then turn right at the traffic light as before.

There's no mention of getting to Ft. Wilderness, but it looks like you would still keep to the right.

I just got back today from Ft. Wilderness. Yes, you stay to the right BEFORE the MK toll boothes for that resort bypass.

I just rode a bus over this yesterday. The flyover basically divides the MK park traffic from the MK resort traffic a lot better. Once you pass the toll booths, the road comes back down and is basically the same old route, with the light to turn into WL or to Poly and GF, continuing on to CR and MK. You just don’t have to deal with the toll booths anymore. The campground people also get to bypass the toll gates because they exit to the right prior to them. I am sure the bus drivers are happy not to deal with the toll booths.

Absolutely love the bypass except for the fact the amount of people who slide over 2 lanes at the last second realizing they need to go through the toll booth to get to MK parking.

So, do I understand correctly that in order to get to the MK area resorts, I need to be on the LEFT when approaching the MK toll plaza rather than the previous RIGHT?

This is GREAT news! This is a long overdue improvement that will hopefully help alleviate traffic in this very crowded area.

Yes, traffic to resorts stays left. If heading to Wilderness Campground exit to the right before tolls.

Yeah, they need to fine tune the signage approaching the split. They're limited by the short distance between the Epcot exit and the MK Resorts exit, but there is room for improvement.
