I'm sure there's answers somewhere to these questions.. I'm a WDW newbie (haven't been since I was 10 in 1992!) and am confused about this. In my head, DTD was right by MK but obviously that's not the case. We thought we'd use one of our three MK days to take a break in the middle of the day to go there and then go back to MK. We are using all Disney transportation staying at AoA. How to get from MK to DTD? Another day, we are going to Cape May at the Beach Club Resort and wondering the best way to get there from MK and back to MK again. I figured it's pretty easy to take the monorail to the hotel restaurants on that, but confused otherwise. We are a big group. Family of seven with a double stroller, so nothing is too easy. lol

To get to the beach club you would just take a bus to the beach club from MK. The monorail does not go to the beach club.

To get to DTD from MK you would have to go to a resort and then take a bus from there to DTD. So you would want to go to one of the resorts near MK to do that. Then just reverse on the way back. You may be spending a lot of time to do this. It seems that DTD is the destination that takes the longest to get to from anywhere.

"cant get there from here" places. Not saying you can't go from MK to DTD and back, just be aware of how much time it will take. I would walk to the Contemporary from MK (10 minute or less) and take the DTD bus from there. Then take the Contemporary bus back to MK and walk to the park. Depending on what you're doing there, the whole thing could take upwards of a couple hours.

As you have discovered, MK and DTD are not close.

Pooch is right on the money. Use the Contemporary for the MK.

Thank you. I think we will maybe do DTD differently instead of in the middle of one of our MK days. I appreciate the advice! :goodvibes
