MK to Boma

I drive a car, have dinner reservation at boma at 8.05PM. Any suggestions what time would be good to leave MK? Is it advisable to park the car at AK, take bus to MK and ride the bus back to Boma and pick the car from there?

Boma is at AK Lodge, not AK, and you're not supposed to leave your car all day at a resort where you're not staying.

I can't see a good reason not to drive. I would allow 30 minutes to get from the MK front entrance to the car. The drive should be no more than 15 minutes. (Both of those times might be longer if you're leaving right after fireworks or park closing.) Another 15 minutes to park and walk in at AKL, so around 1 1/4 hours before your ADR should be safe. If you arrive at Boma early, you can always peruse the exhibits in the lobby or go out to the animal viewing areas; they will give you a pager which will work in those areas.
