MK Superbowl Parade?

We will be in WDW 1/31- 2/5. Do they still have a Superbowl parade with the MVP in the MK? Historically, when is it? And where is the best place to watch the Superbowl if one would want to tell their husband they will be in Disney during the Superbowl?

Last year the parade was the day after the Super Bowl at the Magic Kingdom. So probably a good chance of seeing it on the 4th!

We were there for the 2011 parade (go Aaron Rodgers!) and it was the highlight of the trip for my husband and my dad! A few notes:

1) The information regarding the exact parade time and the details were tough to get in advance. We saw several different start times on-line and received another start time from the BC CL CM. Turns out the BC CL CM was right, but then the parade was delayed for quite a long time because Aaron was unable to arrive on time.

2) Without a doubt, the best place to watch the parade was in Frontierland near Splash Mountain. My parents and my husband found a spot near the rope in that area and waited for a long time. I took our boys on a few rides, assuming we might not be able to join my parents and husband again at the rope, but there was always plenty of room at that spot in Frontierland. It was so close that Aaron Rodgers made eye contact with our kids, waved and said "nice hats." (They were wearing big sorcerers hats at the time.) Fun.

3) After we saw Aaron in Frontierland, we literally ran to Main Street and saw him again. It was much more crowded in that area and the kind of interaction that we had in Frontierland wasn't really possible.

doesnt the mvp get his choice of doing land or world
we were down during the 2002 bowl and were in the mk the day after and i dont remember anything about a parade

not that it mattered as tampa bay took the pack out of the play offs that year
okw did have a nice set up for the super bowl party

At first, we heard it was going to be around noon, which wasn't going to work because we landed at MCO around 11am. Then we learned from the BC CL CM that it was scheduled to begin at 2:15pm. We arrived at MK and CMs there said it would be delayed until 3:30pm. I think that's when it started.

I think so. We were concerned about reports that Aaron said something about DL on a commercial, and some were reporting that he was headed to the West Coast. Not sure of the official or current rules.

Hopefully Aaron will be there again this year

So far so good! At least that's what I thought, but my husband is very disappointed about the second half of the game. Go Pack!

I was there last year when Eli was MVP (as a Giants fan, I was pretty excited! Not so much now ). I was a CM then though so I got the info straight from the source. I would think the timing also depends on where the Superbowl was (flight time and such). But mid to late afternoon the day after is a pretty safe bet.

We were there 4 or so years ago for Santonio Holmes when he is was MVP for the Steelers. Yes, there was a parade but i must say it was quite underwhelming (and I am a big Steeler fan). The parade was very short. We found out about it while we were at AK and raced to MK to see it. We never got a good time so we hung around Main Street for a while and finally it came and went just like that. In retrospect I wish I would have just stayed at AK.

One of my co-workers was down there the year that Aaron Rodgers was MVP. Her daughter was competing in some kind of dance competition that weekend. Anyway, she likes the Bears and didn't care about the parade, but made sure to make me jealous by sending pics of Aaron!! He's my favorite!!

I guess I didn't really have anything to contribute to this thread other than "Go Pack Go" and hope that any of you that are down there on the Monday after the Super Bowl see Aaron Rodgers or at least some Packers player.

We were actually there in the park last year during the parade and didn't even know it was happening. Yeah, MK was crowded but not so crowded that I was like 'what is going on???'. Later I discovered the parade was there and that's why. During the parade crowds lesson elsewhere. But it didn't ruin the day by a long shot! Feb is light as it is.
