MK Steam Engine...Special Tour for Kids?

My son is an obsessed train fanatic. He knows all the mechanical and technical names for most of the working parts of a steam engine ( at the ripe old age of 5 1/2). Every time we hit WDW, we have to ride the MK steam engine, the AK train, and the monorail COUNTLESS times.
IS there anything special they can do for him with the trains?
When we're there in January, he'll be turning 6, and we really want to do something special that he's never done before.
He has said "all aboard" for the MK one, and has been in the front of the monorail, but I was hoping for something extra special.
Any ideas??

Wow! I didn't know Disney had this. Unfortunately for us, our DS won't be 10 until 2012 Oh well, looks like this will add to my "Reason to Go Back" list

They have a lot of good tours but the age requirments stops us from taking them as well and DD is 13 now.Many have a 16 age limit on them.

I think the Family Magic tour will be to kiddish for her but we might try it this summer anyhow.

We are in the same boat. DS is also 5 1/2 and a train fanatic. It started with Thomas the Train and we now have a number of locomotives in both O scale and N scale. Earlier this year, we booked a weekend Amtrak trip to Kissimmee with he and his grandmother with a stay at SSR. The highlight of the trip was the train ride. He even likes the tram rides to the parking lots!! Once in a while we will take trips on the Tri-Rail to WPB and back just to ride the train. When we were in Santa Fe NM earlier this year, we got to ride the Santa Fe train tour there.

Since you are in Miami, your DS might like the Gold Coast Railroad Museum just outside the Metro Zoo entrance. Another nice train venue is the Tradewinds and Atlantic Railroads at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek. They have handbuilt steam and diesel 1/8th sized locomotive and passenger cars that kids and adults can actually ride on. They are closed for the rest of the year for the holiday light show. If you do a google search on both names, you will get links to their websites.

Thanks for the link. I looked at it but found only one tour for our DS. We just got back from our Disney trip on the 1st so the next trip probably won't be until 2008 at the earliest.
