If we are driving, what time does the ferry and monorail begin? I am worried that we won’t be able to be at the gates at 7:30...
Is it safer to take a Uber to the contemporary and walk to MK?

In our experience, the monorail doesn't start running until about an hour before "official" park opening. So, the ferry will likely be your only option at that time of day. Aaaand . . . you will likely be standing on the ferry for 15 minutes waiting for it to fill before it actually takes off. So, in your case Uber to Contemporary sounds like the best plan!

As you can see, for this week the MK monorail starts running at 7am (which is a pretty standard time for 9am regular park openings). Often first thing the resort monorail is running, not the express, so the monorail trip to MK will take a touch longer given the stops at Poly & GF. It’s not a bad idea to grab the current Times Guide when you are on site just to confirm monorail times (and park times for that matter).

You should be fine with either monorail or Ferry if you arrive early enough.

Actually, they’ll hold you until they open for regular day guests. The OP will still get an advantage over regular park guests.

Yes just stating to OP that with EMM there is no riding early .
