MK Postmark

There seems to be conflicting information in different threads about the availability of a special postmark for mail posted near the train depot in the MK. Does anyone know if there is a special WDW postmark?

I am interested in this as well...I thought that mail sent from anywhere in WDW would get a WDW postmark but when I sent postcards him in May, mailed from the ASMo, they just said Lake Buena Vista.....

No, there is not. Sorry. WDW does not have a post office. The closest post office is probably lake Buena Vista so that would be where the mail is postmarked and processed from.

I have heard that if you want a special WDW postmark, you need to mail from the Art of Disney store at DTD. I think I remember seeing a sign there about this, but I am not positive.

I have never heard of a special MK postmark though.

I know mailing from DTD Disney works...least last year it did. You can buy postcards and scrapbook stuff at that store. sorry i forgot its name

i'm pretty sure there is no longer a disney postmark. i think they ship thier mail to go thru the orlando post offices. they used to have one but i think it's changed.

Mmmm...well i did it in end August 2005 or start Sept 2005

I peeked a little on allears and found they did it at epcot, but the story I found was like 2000 year.
Maybe, post your question to allears and see if it is still possible. Like I said we did it from DownTown Disney, maybe they have a different postal system or maybe we just got lucky

Ok I pulled out my post card and i stand corrected. The postmark is "orlando"
there is a special stamp(like ink stamp) that says "capture the magic WDW" with a pic of tinkernelle

Oh well.... There was a mention on the honeymoon board about a special postmark if you put your mail in the box by the train station at the MK. Maybe it wasn't a postmark - but that tinkerbell stamp you mentioned.

In June of this year I mailed myself a postcard from
the Art/scrapbook store in DTD. I mailed it to myself for
my scrapbook. It is a postmark with Tinkerbelle on it.
They told me it was only available there!
