So DH & I will be at MK on Monday Sept 13'th a slower time of year. We are hoping to view Elec. St. parade at 8pm and also to watch Wishes at 9pm in the park. EMH are from 9pm-11pm. Still trying to decide what to use our FP+ on. DH not a thrill rider. I will use one for Space Mountain sometime that day but we may consider using some FP+ for parade & Wishes viewing. We are also interested in vintage character meet & greets IE: Barnstormer.

So what are your recommendations for FP+ usage at this time of year and possibilty of short waits between 9pm-11pm. We are not RD ppl.

Hi Thumper,
I love to plan FP+ days, but there isn't enough here to go on to give you a solid plan. Just normal "good advice" type stuff, like... after 9pm, you won't be needing FPs. Use them earlier in the day and go standby after the parade. Use your FP+'s during the busier times like after the midday parade but before the evening one. So between 4pm and 8pm. But then more importantly, work your FPs in around your ADRs and what you want to be doing that day. If you have 2 days at the MK and this day you're eating at BOG, then I'd take FP+'s for Peter Pan and the SDMT right before your dinner. If instead you'll be over by Frontierland, then use them on Splash and Thunder Mountains. Things like that. Just start planning your days and what you want to accomplish... pick 3 FPs for rides that have typically long lines that fit in w your schedule, and you should be good. There's no wrong answer... use the FP slots to lock in 3 things that you want to go on during those mid-day busy hours.
:) Good luck!

Thanks for the advice I appreciate it.

This will be our first of 2 days at MK.

Not certain yet about ADR's would like to get dinner ressy's at BOG but am not holding my breath as these are so hard to get. If I don't get those ressy's then we will wing it with CS, this is easier to plan anyway.

So is it worth wasting a FP for parade or firework viewing?

Parade -- Sure! Parades can have lots of pushing and shoving to hold a spot. If you were into any of the Mountains I would use your FP's on those over a parade, but you said you're not so much so parades are a good alternate.

Fireworks -- Nah. You can see fireworks from anywhere. I wouldn't spend them on this.

I would start w getting that BOG ADR at exactly 6 mo out and worry about FP's much closer to your trip dates. They're not anything you need to pin down until 60 days before your arrival.

Anxiously awaiting March 17'th so I can start reserving our ADR's.:thumbsup2
