MK Photo ?'s

I have a few questions about the MK photo shoot if anyone can help me.

First, Is the $800.00 for the photo session only? Or are some photos included?

Second, Is it ususally done the same morning/evening of the wedding?


We are hoping to have a Disney intimate wedding in Dec 2006 and wanted to add the Magic Kingdom photos on if it at all budget wise possible!

12 pictures are included in a folio, but they actually sent all 53 prints of mine to me, the others were just loose in a bag. They pick you up for the shoot at 6:00 AM and there is only one shoot a day, so they fill up fast. What days are available will sometimes determine when the shoot is done. We did ours the morning after the wedding. That was both our first choice (so the flowers would still be fresh) and the only day while we were there that was available. Some people do it the morning of (especially is you have an early ceremony- ours wasn't until that evening) that way they only have to do hair and makeup once. Others do it two or three days after their ceremony (not wanting to get up at 3:30 in the mornign the day after the wedding). I'm glad we did it even though our photo session got rained on- it's such a unique opportunity. Hope this answers all your questions!

Just note that your dress can get dirty and or wet when entering the MK in the morning. It may not be noticeable in the pics but it might be at your ceremony.

Do you know if they do this on weekend days, or is it only during the week.

I think they do it on weekends also. It can be booked up to one year in advance.

I would recommend it. I thought the Carousel picture wasn't for me, however it is actually my favorite pictures. and yes, my dress got FILTHY.

Do you mean the carousel specifically got your dress dirty, or just the whole experience? Did the stains come out of the dress? Just curious....our MK photo shoot is on Nov 3, 2005!!

We fly out to the states the day you have your shoot! We have one booked for the 17th of November - and I can't wait

Thanks so much for all the info everyone! I just love the MK photos that everyone has posted! I am really hoping to get it added to our package. Right now we are torn between Sea Breaze pointe and sunset point for location. I think this would be a great way to add the "magic" to our day!

It wasn't the carousel that made it dirty. It is being in front of the castle that made it dirty. I took it to a dry cleaner, who charged me $100, but yes, the filth came out. The ground was also wet because they were cleaning the area. I tried to hold the dress up as much as possible, but it didn't matter. I'd still do the photos knowing my dress got dirty. Once in a lifetime!!

Our ceremony is at the Wedding Pavilion on Nov 1 and our reception is at Whitehall. On Oct 31, we're having an Illuminations Dessert Party. I'm sooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dress got wet during the MK shoot too. We did the shoot the day after our wedding and it was early but so worth it! My carousel pictures were our favorites, I'm a carousel buff and got to have our pictures taken on my favorite horse.

I just got back and I had my MK shoot the day of the wedding. We figured we wouldn't be able to sleep teh night before so why not do something amazing, and it was!! I didn't notice that my dress got that dirty but it probably did. I did my hair for the shoot and then cosmo did my hair for our ceremony. It is something I am so glad we did!
