MK@park opening time & what not to miss?

Hi all,
We are will at MK in Oct. for the early morning right when it opens (Extra Magic Hour). Can anyone tell me what special things happen right when the park opens? I was told that Mickey and friends opens the park each day? What other interesting things should I look out for? Do they have any other special things that happen that early? I was also reading something about someone is chosen to call "Tinkerbell" from the castle?

MK has a show put on by CM to signify the entry of the park. The end of which has the train coming in with the characters coming with a chosen family to open the park. Pixie dust is thrown out to the crowd and then the park opened. There are rope drops to each section (Adventure, Tommorow, Future at the actual opening time.

Two special items to the first who gets there - first to the gift shop near the castle can wake Tinkerbell. First to the Christmas shop in Adventureland helps decorate the tree.

Maybe we can be chosen family this year???
