MK Parade Strategy

We would like to see the 3pm Share A Dream Come True parade and then head to Epcot as soon as it is over. Is there a good strategy for sitting somewhere close to the exit so that we can beat the crowds getting out of there? Please recommend specific seating locations if you know of any good ones.

Also, how long does the parade last? I assume since we are going to try to sit near the exit, it will take a while for it to reach us.

Any tips appreciated!

If you position yourselves on the same side of the street as Tony's, you should be able to make a dash for the exit whenever you are ready. If you are on the barber shop side of Main Street, your progress will be blocked by ropes and barricades until the parade has completely passed.

Can we find a spot down as far as in front of the entrance area (near the lockers) or is that not allowed?
