MK Opening Family

Is there any strategy at all to getting to be the Family of the Day at MK? And what does it include, other than the park opening train ride with the characters?

I don't really think there is...just luck of the day. My kids keep asking me if there is ANYTHING we can do to get chosen, so I figure I'd throw the question out there.

Arrrive EARLY, EARLY, EARLY, and "chat-up" the CMs at the gates.

And, even then, it can be just luck of the day.

They give the family some "stuff" but its mostly just the "honor of it all."
