MK open until 2:00 a.m. on 8/30 & 8/31??

Is this correct?? I've seen midnight before but never 2:00 a.m. And is this usually indicative of them expecting high crowds?

That has been the posted closing time/EMH those days for a couple weeks now. It has been confirmed across many different sites. It is Labor Day weekend, so it is likely to be a bit busier.

Thank you - forgot it was Labor Day Weekend, again. I'm so used to that holiday being closer to the first week of September than last of August.

We went Labor Day Weekend last year and found the parks to be extremely manageable. Things were a little busy but not to the point of mass chaos and confusion like you see over Xmas or other busy holidays. If you had to choose a holiday to go, Labor Day is the one to pick. It was hot, so we would hit things in the morning and then get somewhere cool by afternoon, and then close down the parks after the sun went down. Late hours at MK were the best. After wishes and the parades were done the park started to empty out. We rode many rides multiple times and really enjoyed ourselves. I couldnt believe my 2 DD's made it to 3 AM. We even got one of our better family pictures with some of the Halloween stuff they already had out looking up Main Street with the castle in the background. There's hardly anyone else on the street in our picture. I would do it over again. My DW hated the heat though.

I just want to mention that last year in October we went to the MK on a night where the park closed at midnight but was an EMH so we got to be in the park until 2am. We arrived to watch MSEP & Wishes and the park was crazy busy!!

I'm so glad we stuck it out because after 11pm the park emptied out. We were literally able to walk on any ride we wanted with NO waits. It was amazing! Not only that, we felt like we had the entire park to ourselves. We had always been an "early to rise/rope drop & early to bed" family until that night. It was amazing and one of the best nights we've ever had at Disney.

Yep, EMH until 2 a.m. I'm so happy that my oldest can probably likely power through that (she made it through an EMH until 1 a.m. last summer) and that we'll be there on the 30th!
