MK on Mother's Day?

Thinking about going over Mother's Day weekend again this year for a mommy and me trip with one of my boys. Last year I did Epcot on Mother's Day because I assumed MK would be crazy. Wondering if it's really that bad though or if it would be worth doing MK that Sunday. We are only doing 2 parks, MK is definitely one of them while the other is still TBD. Most likely Epcot or HS. My usual rule is no MK on weekends and I try to skip Mondays too, but those are my only options for this very short trip.

Actual crowd calendar doesn't seem to indicate any difference from the weekend before or after which surprises me.

Also, is there any expectation of anything new open by that time in May to help us decide on a second park? I know RoL is supposed to start the end of April and I heard something about a new Star Wars fireworks show at HS, but I think that was about it.

I have been on Mother's Day twice, and I didn't notice more (or less) crowds. I think one year they gave me a rose when I entered the park, but that was it. I think you will experience the usual weekend crowds at MK if you go that day. Have fun!!

Agree with PP. We got carnations on our one MD trip. Crowds were pretty much the usual.
