I realized I planned on being at the MK on Columbus day a Monday. Is this a smart or not so smart thing to do? Which park should I switch it with?

I will be avoiding MK on that day. I plan to do the less popular attractions at the Studios in the am (AK has EE) and some things at Epcot including World Showcase entertainment in the evening.

Two years ago, we did the AK EE on Columbus day which worked well for us. We left the park before lunch. In the afternoon, we went to the Studios and it was ok except for the parade. That was something we should have skipped that day. We stayed through the evening for Fantasmic - holding our spots fairly early by eating supper in the theatre area. I really had the day planned out pretty well (with few MAJOR attractions), so we didn't have problems except for the rude people we encountered on the parade route.

I think it's just one of the days during Oct. that you have to plan well and not get frustrated about some crowds...especially if you plan to see Spectro or Wishes that night.

Columbus Day is the 2nd day of our trip. We have PS's for Donalds Breakfastosaurus & plan on doing AK EE. We are meeting up with some family that live in Kissimmee at DTD for dinner, so hopefully we won't run into too many crowds. Aw, who am I kidding, I don't mind crowds if I'm at WDW!!!

we also have a PS at Donalds Breakfastosaurus for 10 am. After we are done with AK we are going to MGM also. See you guys there.

Call me crazy but we'll be in MK on Columbus Day.

I'm expecting the park to be packed but it's the first day of our trip and we're bringing along a family who has never been so how could we NOT go there first??? I'm just going to plan on spending the day riding a few rides and mainly just enjoying the scenery.

:)

After our last trip in 2002 Easter Vacation. I never want to do that again. LOL It was so crowded that all the strollers kept bumping into each other. You couldn't walk. A wait of at least 2 hours a ride. I am hoping this trip isn't going to be like that.
