I am interested in other's experiences on MK over Labor Day weekend.

I think we must be nuts. ;) MK on any Saturday is bad. ;)
The two of us will be at WDW 4 days at the end of this month. With the current Disney scheduling  SpectroMagic is on one night of this trip -- Saturday the 30th.
I would pass, as we have seen it a few times, and we will be back in January. (Heat, humidity, shoulder to shoulder crowds does not sound like a lot of fun to me. :jester: ;) )

We plan to spend the day at another park and after dinner go to MK. I tried just now to get a PS at LTT for the 30th. The only time available was 4:30. That gives me an indication of what MK will be like that day. ;) :jester:
Has MK even been filled to capacity the Saturday before Labor Day (closed entry)?

TIA for sharing.

I'll be interested also to hear some feedback. That's my birthday! However, isn't Spectromagic and FITS also showing Sunday night? I'm torn between my birthday evening at MK or going to MK on Sunday evening. I've never seen either Spectromagic or FITS.

Now that you say that, I think you are right and it was. DH wanted to see Illuminations the night before we left, and we are spending Sunday at Epcot anyway. :)
And I also think we thought Sunday could be left open for Plan B. ;)

And HAPPY (Un)Birthday! ---> Party hat :jester:

We were there that weekend (and the rest of the week) last year and are going to be there this year, same days! We arrive the 30th (Sat) and plan on doing MK that day, against my better judgement, but I've been overruled. It's very crowded that Saturday night, but I've seen it much more crowded on a Saturday night in June. Since Spectromagic is on Sunday night, too, I'd rather go then, but my gang just doesn't think it's Disney World unless we go to the Magic Kingdom straight away.

Maybe we'll see you there!

We were at WDW Labor Day weekend 2001 and it was not bad at all. People are saying it has been really crowded at MK this year though. As far as the priority seating-MK and MGM have been having a weird "problem" for weeks now. They will not release later priority seatings until closer to the date. I called from the 60 day mark (before PS changed on 8.4 to 90 days) for the Plaza Restaurant in MK and Hollywood and Vine in MGM and all they had was 4:30pm. Last week I was able to get 6:45pm for the Plaza and 6:10pm for Hollywood and Vine!
