UG has sat. as a best day to visit MK. What do you think? I always have avoided going there on a sat. in the past. I only have fri. 1/27 and sat. 1/28 and want to go to MK & MGM. Sat. is the morning emh for MGM, and i understand that park will be busy on that day. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have always found Sat. to be the busiest at MK. I like Sunday mornings though!

If you use Fastpass, you will be fine at MK any day. On our first trip to WDW we accidentially booked President's Day week which is one of the busiest times of the year. We went to MK on a Sunday and a Saturday and it was never a problem as long as you plan what you want to do. We were able to use the pastpass and go on everything with a minimal wait. Our trick for the parade is to take the train to mainstreet right before the parade starts to avoid walking through the crowds. Or, hang out in Frontierland and slip over in front of the castle right before the fireworks start.

Our theory is that MK is always busy :-)

We've done Saturdays in the past and we've been fine. Sometimes we've been pleasantly surprised with the ease of touring on that day and were flexible enough in our schedule to make a full day of it. Other times, it gets jammed with people to the extent where it's no longer any fun and we leave.

EMH contributing to crowds is a given. If you only have two days to do MK and MGM, I think its a given that MK would be the one to do on Saturday. If you get to MK at park opening, you'll get a lot of touring done the first hour or two of the day. With young children, we usually focus our early park time on getting Fantasyland attractions done.

Hope this helps! Good luck with whichever you end up doing!

Thanks for all the great info. We will give it a go on saturday and hope for the best.

We have been on Saturday the last 3 years in March and it was wonderful.
