MK on a day with EMH and MNSSHP

Maybe a silly question but I’m trying to nail down our days before my FP day on Monday. Of course I thought I had everything planned out but I just can’t leave well enough alone! The last park day of our trip is August 16 and MK has morning EMH and MNSSHP that day. We won’t have party tickets or likely be using the EMH (from the west coast so trying to avoid the early mornings!) so I’d planned for different parks this day but now am thinking maybe we’d like to spend some time at MK on our last day. We have hoppers so could do a part day there and then hop to another park but I’m curious what more experienced WDWers think about crowds this day at MK. Will it be busier because of the EMH or less busy because of MNSSHP? I know no one can foresee the future but I’m curious what some of your thoughts are on this? Thanks in advance!

We’ve been at the MK the day oif the first party for the past 3 or 4 years. It hasnt seemed any less crowded then the days before or after the first party.

The thing is, so many people are completely unaware of the first Halloween party. It catches people by surprise. Many people are arriving in the late afternoon with no clue that it is closing early for the party. That’s our experience. I know people say, party days have lower crowds and they can get more done, but that’s never been our experience on the day of the first MNSSHP.

Generally, the park is less busy because of the party, but EMH means the later you get there, the more people who already be there when you arrive.

The best-case scenario for going on lots of attractions would be to rope drop -- you could get a lot done, for sure. But if you want to sleep in, just use your 3 fast passes and enjoy the anytime attractions.
