MK MK fireworks, dessert party and departure

If we are doing the Plaza dessert party and fireworks are at 8, when should we expect to be back on the bus to SSR? Dd is 7 and I'm trying to figure out if she will have energy for this. We will have started the day with 8:15 BOG breakfast. I could return to SSR after our 2 o'clock fast pass for a break but I'm worried that at that point she will be too beat to come back to the park. I know it'll be too late to cancel. Any tips on our day? I have figured in tom Sawyer's island after lunch for a little downtime.

The fireworks are about 20 minutes long and then you have to account for the absolute mob scene and crowds trying to get out of the park. When we do the party, we typically hang back in the garden for 10 minutes or so to try to let the crowds dissipate. I, personally, don't think you will be on a SSR bus an earlier than 9:00 pm unless you get lucky and one is right there when you get to the bus stop. Is this your only day at MK? My DS12 tires as well and really can't go from RD to close. If that is the case with your DD, I would probably pick BOG breakfast or the fireworks, otherwise from going to MK in the morning until getting back to SSR after fireworks, you are looking at, possibly, about a 15 hour day.

Thank you for this realistic perspective. This is our only MK day. She is all about the rides so I want to make BOG and 7 dwarves..her favorite ride so it'll be a pass on the fireworks I guess.
