Need some suggestions for dining options for MK for mom and daughter trip....We will beon the deluxe plan so anything goes! We both eat anything so that's easy also, not huge on Character dining but if the food is awesome then we'd consider it!

TIA!:goodvibes

I know you said not into character dinning but we love the food selection at CP...my husband loves the salmon and the salad selection. We liked the Plaza restaurant and had an enjoyable dinner at Tony's. I would suggest also taking the monorail and going to Grand Floridian cafe (yummy selection) or trying The Wave (we haven't tried there but I have read alot of great reviews and adding this restaurant to our next trip)

If you are willing to go to a monorail resort close to MK, then I would recommend 'Ohana, California Grill, and Narcoosee's.

I know you said you aren't big into character dinning, but Crystal Palace is wonderful. Yes they have characters, but the food is very good.
It is my fav. to do while there.
It is also so handy to eat and not leave the park.

I haven't tried Liberty Tavern but that is on my list next. The food I hear is pretty good, so maybe you should try that one too.

what time of food do they serve at Plaza restaurant? I've seen it before but just have never ventured on in! For dinner, we're more than likely to travel to one of the monorail resorts, I'm thinking Narcoosee's, went there on my last trip and had the surf and turf which was to die for!!!!!! :goodvibes

We LOVE Narcoossee's.
We went to the Plaza for lunch and here is the menu http://allears.net/menu/menu_pr.htm

Never really thought about Crystal Palace, I've always imagined it's almost impossible to get an ADR like Le Chellier!! :rotfl: We're not opposed to characters of course, just didn't want to get my hopes up, then not get it lol...i'm a wimp! Do you think a lunch would be easier to get there or a dinner?

When is your trip?

We booked our ADRs 180 days in advance and we got Crystal Palace dinner for the date and time we wanted. I don't think it is as hard to get into there as it is to get an ADR for Le Cellier.

We're trying the Plaza for lunch one day at MK. It looks good, they have sandwiches, salads, and nice looking desserts! Nice break from the busy park, yet not having to leave the park!

Getting back to Crystal Palace, we love the food there. They have excellent salmon, really delicious salads, and lots of yummy desserts too! The atmosphere is also very nice.

I have also read positive reports about Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. They have a nice lunch menu. We ate there for dinner on our last trip but that was because they still had characters there at dinner back then. There are no characters there at all now, but they didn't have characters there during lunch anyway. The dinner food was good but not so good to make it a must-do. We would only go back there for dinner if they brought back the characters, but we would definitely consider it for lunch!

We like to have lunch at the Plaza and then head to the Contemporary for dinner at California Grill or head over to the Poly for the Luau or Ft. Wilderness for Hoop Dee Doo Review. They are on the monorail so getting back and forth is really easy!

We always eat Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch-a great menu(Not the "thanksgiving" type night meal)-if you get there at 11:30-a family is chosen to ring the bell to open the place-cute:)

Crystal Palace is really good for character dining, and LTT is nice for lunch, but with the deluxe plan I'd go to the Contemporary and eat at California Grill, or also the Wave, or the Polynesian and eat at Kona, or the Grand Floridian, and eat at GFC, Narcoossees, or Citricos.

My top two choices of all the ones listed would be Citricos and California Grill, but all are good meals.

Agree with those who liked LTT.

While you asked about MK, also consider Spirit of Aloha dinner at Poly (quick mono from MK). Show was good - food was awesome (especially the ribs), and includes free wine and beer (2 TS)
