I have read about how much fun the barber shop is in the MK and it won't be my DS's first haircut. But my question is, have you been happy with the way the haircut looks? He had a BAD haircut once and it took forever to grow, so I am nervous about new barbers/ stylists. Do they listen to parents' suggestions? (That was our problem in the past!)

I'm not sure what you have in mind, but the haircutters were great, we found. I loved his haircut at the MK.

I don't know how the haircut will look but we decided long before our DD was born that this is where her first haircut will be. We made the trip ressies this evening. So I can't wait for March! It's only a trim but well worth it in my mind. :cool1:

My DH got his hair cut there last year. The woman who cut his hair did a great job and it was a lot of fun, too.

We got DS first haircut at MK, it was WONDERFUL, the cut was great, pics were great, the man who cut his hair was GREAT, so Great in fact we leave tomorrow and DS, DD and Dh are all getting their haircut there

Have fun, and take LOTS OF PICS, DS still have his ears they gave him :teeth:

You could also skip the haircut and just get "pixie dust" and "color" added, I think it's only $5...

the haircut was so cute1 Both my boys got it done and I got ton of picures. veyr worth it .

I highly reccommend the pixie dust and glitter. Our DD looked great. The CM were as nice as could be. We inspired another dad we ran into to go have his done to surprise his DD. They will use colored hair gel to make the three circles of Mickey and use Mickey glitter all over their heads. I have seen little boys with their hair spiked with the colored gel as well. All day people asked where we had gotten it done and we shocked that it only cost $5. It was a great attention getter for our DD.
Have fun

My son got his done there last year (he was 5). The haircut was great. He even sat still for the lady -- which NEVER happens during a haircut!!!! I was a little disappointed with the mickey in the back of his head though. The circles didn't touch and weren't really circles at all!! It kinda looked more like Stitch than Mickey :confused3 . But the pixie dust on top was cool. We did it as a "special" treat for him because my neice went dressed up as Arora (in a way too elaberate homemade dress)!!!! But when she came in to see how he looked, one of the other hairdressers told her that since she was sooo beautiful, she needed some pixie dust too. So she sprinkled the glitter and mickey confetti stuff on her hair to (for free). That was really nice, but it kinda defeated the porpose of having his done so he had something "special".

GREAT and loads of fun!

OK - I obviusly do not know how to post photos! Anyone direct me to an explanation?

I think it was the best haircut my son has ever had. I keep joking that we need to go back to WDW everytime he needs a haircut.

We had dd hair trimmed and pixie dusted in August. It was a great experience, her hair looked great and she got lots of attention. The only problem was it was days later and we were still getting pixie dust out of her hair.

We had DD's 1st haircut at WDW and from then on even our DS (14) and my DH has to get hair cuts as well!! DH said that it was the best haircut that he has ever had and he can't wait to get another haircut next week. The picture in my signature was taken right after my DD and DS had their hair cuts along with color and pixie dust from our last trip!! Enjoy whatever you decide to do!!

What darling pictures! Thanks for sharing. Do you need a reservation and if it's a first haircut, do the Mickey ears come with it?!

From what I understand, it's on a first come first served basis. So, you should get in line early. And, also the ears are included in the price of the 1st haircut.

I have a related question--anyone ever had a "big kid" (to be read adult) haircut there? I need just a trim, and what fun it would be to have it done there. I'm just a 30 something kid myself! ::MinnieMo

Does anyone know the price of a haircut there? Is it different for a kid cut vs. a 1st cut? How about adult? :scratchin
