Hi everyone,

My family did the epcot fireworkd cruise last year for my sons birthday. This year we are going for my youngest son birthday and he wants to do the fireworks cruise. Problem we were unable to get Epcot fireworks specialty cruise. So we booked the MK specialty fireworks cruise. Has anyone did this one? Is it as good as the Epcot cruise or will we be disappointed? Were does the boat actually park to see they fireworks? Thanks for all the info.

I haven't experienced the MK fireworks cruise but I have read wonderful reviews about it.

I think your family will love it.

We did one last summer. We left from the dock at the Contemporary resort. We saw the water parade, then crusied out on 7 Seas Lagoon to watch the fireworks. It was a great time.

We did this a few years ago for our wedding anniversary and it was wonderful! Like the other poster wrote, we left from the Contemporary marina, saw the electrical water pageant, cruised the Seven Seas lagoon and then stopped directly in front of the castle for the fireworks. It was so quiet on the lagoon, with the park music far off in the distance and the fireworks going off over the castle and all of it reflected on the water - WOW! There were no other boats anywhere near us - it truly felt like we had the show all to ourselves.

Enjoy!

We took a MK Fireworks Cruise several years ago. We left from the dock at the Poly, cruised over to Bay Lake, past WL and FW, then back to the Seven Seas Lagoon. We stopped in front of a small island and enjoyed the fireworks. As DoeWDW mentioned, it was a very enjoyable experience. I'm sure you will have a great time.

THANKS EVERYONE for the info. I am so excited to go!!! It is my DS 5th birthday. I am sure he will enjoy the cruise!!!! What is the water parade? Thanks!!

I took the fireworks cruise 2 weeks and was very disappointed compared to Illuminations.

I think a big part of the problem was a large cloud over the castle. About 50% of the fireworks appeared to burst in the cloud and be "invisible". It was fun but not amaing like Illuminations. The next night I was headed from VWL via boat to MK for E night. Had a better view off that boat for free than I did for my $120.

I have not done the Illuminations cruise so I cannot compare but I can tell you that the MK cruise is wonderful. We have done it twice so far and would not hesitate to go again.
