MK Firework Dessert Party

Have booked for July 27th, credit card details taken, time given to arrive 9.05pm. Wishes is 10pm that night and Spectro at 9pm, I questioned the 9.05 slot and was told I will be able to see Spectro before going in! Ah, I wanted to see it inside (iykwim). So reading throught all these posts am I correct in thinking you don't need to get pre printed confirmation vouchers/tickets like Hoop show, you just turn up at the podium and get your wristband?

I asked the CM when I made my reservation and she said I just show up at the podium no voucher required. She also told me that she had booked wishes dessert buffet for herself and her DH in July. So I trust she knew what she was talking about since she had made reservations, too.

OMG I am soooo excited!! I just booked this for July 16th which is my last night there. What a great way to end what I hope is a great vacation. Doing the happy dance big time!!!

It sounds fun but I have 4 adults (well 2 are teens but you know in "disneyspeak" they are adults. not sure I want to fork over $80 bucks for dessert. I'd need Brad covered in chocolate for that.

Quick question: If you get a thunder shower the night of your reservation and wishes and spectromagic are cancelled do you get a refund?

I called to see what the deal was w/ them not getting a credit card for my booking-
turns out the agent that booked me last nite booked me for an ENTIRELY different dinner.
I'm very glad i called back. Turns out it was booked that nite and the CM said that what happened was that when you search, if it's not availalbe it just automatically comes back w/ a 2nd option- adn she didnt notice it was different. just booked me for that.
The CM booked me for my 2nd choice nite though so I'm Ok.

I asked him if there's anything they can do to contact people who were booked at the Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe (where i was orginally booked) and let them know that they are NOT getting the dessert party- adn he said there is no way to do that.

But I would've been SOOOO mad if i arrived and was told i had no reservation and i imagine this happenedto several other people.
So sad when peple don't know how to book things properly!!!!!!!!!!

No refund You still get dessert because the terrace is covered and you won't get wet.

I'm pretty sure you do not get a refund if Wishes and Spectro are cancelled, as really you are paying for the dessert, and they would still be served, I assume. I mean, I guess they still have to make them/ defrost them, so someone needs to pay for them.

I believe the Fantasmic dinner pkg is the same, right? (I've never done it).
if Fant. is rained out, you have still eaten your meal, and that's what you were paying for, so no refunds?

No refund, they specifically state that in their little "disclaimer" speech. Event will run rain or shine and if wishes is cancelled due to weather the party will continue.

I called today and specifically asked about what the rain policy was, and she told me there was no note about it at all. She didn't read the disclaimer to me (only disclaimer was that park admission was not included and that it is a non-smoking area).

Her answer to me was that she assumed it would still go on, since there wasn't a note stating alternatives, and that we would still be charged.

Just think about all the people who book this and aren't on DIS boards to know... I bet there will be some angry people on some nights..

I used a debit card and with in hours I checked, and it was debted out from Disney.

I still say try again! I had a CM who told me my first choice date was unavailable and booked me on the 2nd choice night. I called back 5 minutes later and my first choice date was magically available!

This happened to me too. I called and was told there was nothing available. Thought it over and remembered how people were saying on here to call back and talk to someone else. Well sure enough I called back 5 minutes later after seeing the disappointment on my kids faces. I got a ressie and for the same night I called about 5 minutes before.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean. Is there another restaurant in MK called Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe? I'm booked at the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station for the dessert party and I can't find this other restaurant you are talking about. I pre-payed for the dessert party.

Those of you who are getting turned away- next time you call back, ask them to check without your resort confirmation #. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone trying to get into this thing and the girl at one point said "hey, if I don't say you have free dining, suddenly you can all go." With free dining applied there was only one spot available and my husband, 6 year old and I would all have been split between 3 tables. (not sure why) Now we are all booked on our ideal night at one table.

This seems like a creepy side effect of free dining, especially for an event we have to pay for anyways.

That would make sense. The first time I called I gave the CM my ressie number. But the second time I didn't have it in front of me so I didn't give the number to the CM. Hmmmm Strange indeed.

If you know what time Wishes is on the night you want the dessert party, then ask for a time an hour before Wishes.

I booked this last night for August 8. The CM was unfamiliar with the event, asked me what time I wanted to make the ressie for, and I said it was my understanding that it was a self-serve buffet, that I was planning on being there with my family until Wishes. She said let me see if I can book this without putting in a time, and after a few clicks she told me that it was showing up for 9:00. I said yep, that's it.

I was told the same thing. Call back again and try and tell them to make sure the box for free dinning is not checked off . Cause at first I was told there was nothing then she she oops I had the free dinning checked off and when she undid that I was in.

We have a 9:10 ressie but she said to come 15 min. early.
I think they staggered it to accomodate all seating.
