We are getting married on a Friday and then having our photo session on Sunday morning. I was wondering if anyone else out there had their session several days after their ceremony and how your bouquet held up. I know you can have Disney floral keep the bouquet and refresh it. It's not cheap and I am not sure if it's worth doing that.
Thanks!!!

I think if you keep your flowers in water then they will be fine. Two days later isn't really that long of a time. Just keep them in a vase at the reception (if they don't already have a water source) and cut the stems and keep them in a vase until Sunday. It might be worth it though to have the refresh.. I think it is only around $50 or so for Disney to keep the bouquet and replace any wilting flowers with fresh ones. Worth it to me but to each his own. Good luck in whatever you decide.

i had my wedding on a monday and MK shoot on the wednesday. the flowers looked not 100% very close up, but it doesnt show on the photos cos the photos they take during the MK shoot dont tend to be very close up anyway

9 times out of 10, the bouquet stems that you see at the bottom of your bouquet are not real. The flowers in the bouquet have a hidden water source in the center, and they add the faux stems to preserve the 'look' of the bouquet. This mean that keeping your bouquet in water may not help.

I think having the refresh in your budget is a good idea. They keep that flowers at the right temperature, and replace any that have wilted too much. I think it's money well-spent no matter what, since it is one less thing for you to worry about. In the grand scheme of a wedding budget, it is really a small expense.

Before you decide to cut it from your budget, carefully consider the types of flowers you will have in your bouquet. For example, if you have a lot of hydrangea, that flower wilts very quickly and therefore the refresh is actually cost-effective. If you have the type of flower that will last a long time naturally, then maybe the refresh is not money well spent. Keep in mind, however, that once any flower stem is cut, the life of the flower is decreased as well.

I have the same dilemma. My wedding is on Friday and MK shoot on Sunday morning. I'm having the french tied bouquet of roses. Rosie said that they do have a water source and the 'stems' that you see are not real. I'm debating about the refresh since the photos don't seem to be too close for the MK shoot.

I had the refresh and my flowers looked as good as new on the day of the MK shoot - after the wedding i put them in water and within a day or so they looked decidedly wilted! It depends on what type of flowers you have!

The refresh to me was worth every penny as they replace all the dead flowers!

My bouquet is the same!

I was told it would be around $125 to refresh it.
Has anyone out there had to pay that much??

That's why I'm debating. $125 for a refresh and a new bout. for DF. I know I'm paying the money for the MK shoot so the extra shouldn't be that big of a deal, but the MK shoot was stretching it on the budget. I'm just concerned that I'll pay for the refresh and they'll only have to swap out 4-5 flowers.

If the roses are in a water source you would think the would look ok 2 days later, right? Ok, maybe not for a close up of the bouquet. But the MK shots don't look very close.

The interior water source on these bouquets does not provide enough water for the flowers to live 2 days. It's simply too little water.

I agree, mine was a small vial of water - pretty much only enough to last that day! I cant remember how much i paid for my refresh though!
