MK Dinner and Birthday Dinner

I have two questions. We are going to WDW in less than two weeks which is great but this is one of those trips that we have kind of thrown together at the last minute and do not have a lot of ADRs made at this time. We need dinner plans for May 18 in MK as we want to do Spectromagic and Wishes that night. We tried LT and the earliest they have is 8:35 which means we miss the two shows, I tried Chef Mickeys and they are even later. Any ideas on places we could eat that night, either CS or TS, we never have good luck on the night we go to these events and often have a hot dog while sitting on the sidewalk. We want something better this time. Also, we are going to be there for DW's 40th birthday on Sunday night. I made ADRs for California Grill at 9:20 pm which is obviously late, we have 3 kids, 11, 9 and 2. This is the earliest they had and I thought we could watch Wishes from there. But now I am not sure this is the best option, any other ideas for a great meal that would still give us time to get to MK for Wishes that night? Thanks for any ideas.

First of all, definitely keep your California Grill reservation!! I LOVE it there. Everyone will enjoy it.

Secondly, hmm...where to eat. You honestly just have to call and ask what's available. Try 1900 Park Fare, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Ohana's etc. They are all great places and very close to the MK.
