I'm on my own at MK on December 16th, I anticipate that it will be a crazy crowded day. Planning to start off at Kona Cafe, head straight to park gate and stay the entire day. I have even purchased my ticket already to MVMCP that night (1st time going to that event :))!

Last visit was in January so I'm not fussed on doing certain attractions other than my favourites, Peter Pan's Flight, Big Thunder, Jungle Cruise & Mermaid.

It may sound goofy but to be honest, I'm excited to just do a lot of walking around, take it all in, and admire the finer details. Really don't mind the crowds but as I'm there solo on that day, not into battling with them for attractions.

Would really appreciate any ideas on: things to go look at (not necessarily attractions but general decor in the park), any spots to grab yummy treats, and thoughts on a good dinner spot. As I'm going to Kona Cafe for a big breakfast, I wouldn't want huge meals later in the day.

Thanks!

Up to 4:00 it shouldn't be crowded. People with basic tickets avoid party days due to the early close. Party tickets start to be admitted at 4:00.

What a fun day!
I enjoy just wandering around MK. I got a book, the title of which I cannot recall, that points out all the finer details and "hidden" magic in the parks. Magic Kingdom, by far, had the most little tidbits that often go unnoticed by those who are rushing from ride to ride. Main Street USA is my favorite, from the Town Square to the hub in front of the castle. I could spend hours just in that section of MK.

Some things I'd do:
1. Watch the trolley show when it comes down Main St.
2. Try to catch the Main St. Philharmonic when they play
3. Browse ALL the shops (in one of them there's an old style crank telephone on a wall. Pick up the receiver and listen!)
4. See if you can meet the Mayor and his Wife
5. Watch any shows that go on in front of the castle (It was "Dream Along With Mickey" this March)
6. Ride the train from Main St. station. All the way back around if you don't want to go elsewhere, or to Frontierland or Fantasyland (good way to get to Big Thunder or Little Mermaid)
7. Grab lunch at Casey's Corner and sit at one of the outside tables watching the hustle and bustle
8. Grab ice cream at the Plaza and do the same as above
9. Get a good spot for Festival of Fantasy parade (assuming it's running).
10. Ride People-Mover
11. If Capt. Jack is doing a Pirate Tutorial, stop and watch that
12. Ride the Liberty Belle
13. Go to the Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square
14. For dinner, if you're thinking you won't want a big meal, maybe The Plaza?
15. Should have put this earlier since they only run in the morning, but take one of the Main St. Vehicles. I'd probably ride one kind one way and then get on another kind and ride right back. For example, top of the double-decker bus down to the castle and then return to the Town Square on the trolley.
16. I haven't done this, but I'd like to go over to Tom Sawyer Island and check it out
17. Oh! Country Bear Jamboree! I love it so!
18. Go up in the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House
19. Enchanted Tiki Room
20. Hall of Presidents
21. Carousel of Progress
22. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
23. Small World (because you're not truly at Disney if that song isn't infesting your brain)

And I'm sure there are plenty of things I'm forgetting, but in terms of things that don't require FP+ or outrageously long waits, and are still loads of fun, those are what I can think of.

I love soaking up the Magic Kingdom. :)
