Hello. I remember from my last WDW trip in 2016 that while MVMCP was going on, the days when there wasn't a party, MK was exceptionally crowded. Do you think November 7th, the day before the parties start, will be like that?

When parties are happening, MK will be more crowded on nonparty days. People want to see the fireworks and they can be shut out for days because of the parties.
Going to MK on a party day can be a bit less crowded until 4 p.m when all the party people arrive.
If your plan is to rope drop and you don't care about fireworks, going on a party day is a good idea. If you want to see the fireworks, you will have to fight the crowds.
Thank you. I do want to have a full day. My question is do you think going November 7th (the day before the parties start) is going to be as bad as going on a non-party day once the parties start. The 6th?

I’ll be there the day before the parties myself and it’s been my experience that that day will be crowded. But one the part day even with the shorted hours I’ve been able to go more in the parks then on the day before a party.
It’s hard to predict what the actual turnout is going to be but I’d put my money on the party day being less crowded like normal.
To me the start of the party season this year is when the MNSSHP parties start in mid-August. Sure there's a week break when MNSSHP stops and MVMCP starts, but that is also the first week where MK is decorated for Christmas for the year. As such I'd expect any non-party day between late August and December to be crowded.

I think most people start their Disney vacations on Sat, Sun or Mon. So by the time the 7th rolls around on Wed., most people have already been to MK at least once. However, these same people will probably be heading home on Sat, so Wed will be the last time they can see HEA before heading home. It's probably a toss up for whether that Wed or the earlier Sun/Mon would be busier. Best of both worlds to me would be to make Tues your MK day. If that's not possible, then Wed the 7th will certainly be better than Sat the 10th.
Thanks for all the advice. Our trip isn't booked yet, so our dates aren't set in stone. But based on our schedules, it looks like I will end up in MK on either Wednesday the 7th or Wednesday the 14th (non-party day too). We've never seen HEA, so we'll just have to deal with some crowds to do so.
Kenny the Pirate has 11/6 and 11/7 as AVOID days. Even worse than “worst park” day. He’s predicting spring break like crowds in the MK those two days. It’s even worse since 11/5 is a CM event and MK closes at 4:30.

Personally, I’d watch MK hours and EMH more than anything else. Wednesday is normally a MK PM EMH day (although I note that same Wed last year did not have PM EMH).
For example, if that day does turn out to have PM EMH’s, I’d rather do MK that Tuesday.
But probably just shades of grey here - likely a busy time no matter the day.
